9YEARS HAD flew by, Olivia was busy walking around the kitchen as she reached for the cereal boxes, the milk, the bowls and of course the spoons. She was in her own little world humming to a song she had heard the night before, her mind focused on the 1st Day of School.
The floor board of the stairs could be heard as each step was taken coming down.
"Come on buddy you cannot be late." Tommy spoke, lifting Mateo into one of the seats before pressing a kiss right into Olivia's forehead, "Are you both ready?" The former shortstop asking his gaze turning to his wife and kid.
Olivia nodded, before placing the bowls right in front of them both, "Well, I have been ready since the 3rd, but the nerves are there." Olivia responded, placing her hand out for Tommy to see as she slightly trembled.
Mateo immediately dug into his cereal, "I can't wait to make new friends!" his voice beamed with a cheeky smile that showed off his teeth a little gap in between the front 2.
The girl ruffled his hair slightly, "You will make manyy and remember you already have one in that class."
Mateo enthusiastically shook his head, "I cannot wait to play with Gabriel! Am I going to see Uncle Gavin and Auntie Bri?" Mateo asked, swirling the milk inside of the bowl.
"I think so buddy, but come on and finish eating we need to get there nice and early."
The 3 sat and ate in a quick pace before rushing to place their bowls right in the sink, "Those better be washed when we come back." Olivia joked turning to Tommy as he double checked his pockets for the car keys and his wallet.
Olivia helped put Mateo's backpack on and she took a quick glance at him before pulling her phone out, "I think this calls for a family picture." she called out waiting for Tommy to get into frame before she clicked on the white circle. "We look stunning Edmans."
"Well its cause I have a hot wife and we made a handsome kiddo." Tommy joked, reaching for the door opening it allowing both Olivia and Mateo to exit first.
Tommy had helped Mateo get into his booster seat ensuring it was buckled in correctly before getting into the driver's seat. One hand relaxing on the steering wheel while the other relaxed right on Olivia's lap.
"You are going to be there for him, no need to worry too much. Plus he has Gabriel." Tommy's eyes fell right on her. He could read her body language, her going on about being nervous was all about Mateo's first day.
Olivia had slowly nodded, turning her own eyes to land on Tommy, "I know. I just want him to love school the same way I do."
"He is your kid after all." Tommy commented, turning the engine on and starting the drive to the 1st day of school.

Olivia sat at her computer, typing away at emails that needed to be answered quickly while Tommy had begun reading one of the books that were placed in the school library.
"So you are the teacher that will be taking care of my kid!" A voice boomed across the classroom immediately catching Olivia's attention.
Her eyes landing on the owner of the voice, "Brianna you had me scared." Olivia's hands placed right over hear chest as she let out a dramatic heavy sigh.
Brianna walked over, Gavin and Gabriel working their way right towards where Tommy and Mateo were. "Sorry, just had to do it onceee." The sister had a bright smile as she pulled a chair and sat next to Olivia, "Soooo, you are finally teaching your kid and mineee."
Olivia's smile showed her head nodding, "You know, this feels like a dream. A loving husband, my sister having an amazing husband, teaching our kids together. It's just perfect."
Brianna leaned back into her chair, "You know I remember you blabbering on about wanting to one day be the teacher of my kids and I laughed at the idea of even having kids."
Olivia eyes squinted a bit, trying to remember the occasion, "What can I say, I am a good manifester."
It was now Brianna nodding, "So how is Amaya. I've seen retirement is treating her nicely."
Olivia had leaned forward getting away from her work stuff, "Ever since she won the lottery she has been traveling the world."
The 2 begun to converse for a bit and it was all over the place, it was up until the school bell rang.
Brianna was quickly up on her feet as she placed the chair back to where it was, "Well...looks like the first lecture is soon."
Olivia looked down at her watch, seeing it was only 15 minutes before she must go into teacher mode, "I'll take good care of him don't worry."
Brianna shot her one final smile before grabbing Lux and leaving the room, "I know you will! Gabe behave! Bye Mateo!" she waved towards Olivia kid.
Tommy quickly walked kissing Olivia, "Goodluck! See you at home." then walked over to Mateo, "See you at home buddy take care of mommy for me okay?"
Mateo nodded, before running back to his seat, "Yes daddy I will!" his smile bright, his eyes sparkling as he waved goodbye to his father.
It didn't take long before the classroom begun filling with kids, many looked scared, but once they saw Olivia's bright smile, relief washed over them.
"Okay you guysss, my name is Ms. Laus, welcome to your first ever day of Kindergarten. You guys have 20 minutes before we start learning okay!" her voice comforting and loud as she kept her smile on.
She begun walking around the room, hopeful...grateful...thankful, she didn't give this up...
