Chapter:23 ( first day at office)

Viren summoned Karan to his home office room.

"Karan, I've decided you'll live at the Singhania mansion," Viren said.

Karan's eyes widened. "But, Bhaiya—"

Viren smiled. "At home, you can call me Bhaiya. But at the office, address me as Sir."

Karan nodded. "Yes, Bhaiya...I mean, Sir."

Viren said - "Relax,At office Kiddo, you can call me bhaiya at home"

Viren continued, "You'll work as Senior assistant. Avni will be Junior assistant."

Karan's eyes sparkled with determination.

The next morning, Avni and Karan arrived at the office.

Viren greeted them sternly. "Morning both of you, i expect nothing but improvement and dedication"

Avni raised an eyebrow. "Viren—"

Viren cut her off. "Sir."

Avni's eyes flashed defiance.

Viren handed them their schedules.

"Avni, you'll handle client meetings," Viren instructed.

Avni smirked. "Easy."

Viren's gaze narrowed. "And, Avni, since you seem to struggle with humility, you'll also handle the office's front desk today."

Avni's face fell.

Karan's eyes widened as Viren assigned him a series of tasks.

During lunch, Avni snuck into Viren's office.

She added red chilli to his coffee.

"Khadoos," she whispered, smiling.

Viren returned, unaware.

He took a sip.

His eyes widened.

"Avni!" he called.

Avni entered, feigning innocence.

Viren's gaze narrowed but said nothing determined to make her confess herself.

"New task, Avni. Organize the storage room. Now."

Avni's smile vanished.

The storage room was chaotic, she realised she shouldn't have pulled the stunt to add chilli to his coffee.

As Avni struggled, Viren passed by.

"Satisfactory work, Avni?" he asked smirking.

Avni gritted her teeth.

" Sorry sir" , Avni said.

"For what Avni" , he asked with a knowing glint .

"For the same stunt for which you are indirectly punishing me, i mean for adding chilli powder to your coffee"

Viren just nodded and left

Karan completed 80% of the tasks assigned to him by Viren which more than expected by Viren but he didn't praised him much to not make him overconfident just told him to work more on increasing focus and speed.

At home, Nalini welcomed Karan warmly.

Yashraj patted Karan's back. "You're family Karan, feel free to ask for anything and don't worry you will soon get used to Viren's working ways ."

Karan grinned.

Ruhi teased, "Uff Bhaiyu, don't worry you'll survive Viren Bhaiya's torture."

Karan chuckled and said" yeah kiddo the same way you are surviving him 😅, give me some tips too,but jokes apart Viren bhaiya is a very punctual and desciplined man i have seen. Its my honour to work under him"

Abhimanyu reassured Karan on call. "You'll learn gradually."

As Karan settled in, he thought about tomorrow.
