Y/N Malfoy's POV

Transferring to Hogwarts halfway through the year was nothing short of infuriating. I had been perfectly fine at Beauxbatons, enjoying my freedom far away from my overbearing family. But Father decided I needed to be "closer to home" and "learn proper magic under British traditions."

Right. Because nothing screams "proper" like my twin brother Draco whining about Gryffindors every other sentence.

No one seemed prepared for my arrival, though. I'd been at Hogwarts for barely five minutes when I realized Draco had somehow kept my existence a secret. The shock on everyone's faces when I stepped off the train was priceless.

"Draco, you didn't tell anyone you had a twin?" I smirked, watching his pale face turn even paler.

"They didn't need to know," he hissed under his breath, shooting nervous glances at the Slytherin group.

"Well, they know now." I turned to the group of gawking students. "Hi. I'm Y/N Malfoy. Don't worry, I'm only half as unbearable as him."

The glares I received from Pansy Parkinson and her clique were entertaining, but one boy in particular caught my attention: Mattheo Riddle. He was leaning casually against the wall, smirking as if he owned the place, dark curls framing his sharp features.

"Something funny?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," he said smoothly, his eyes locking with mine. "You."

I rolled my eyes, turning away without another word. I didn't have time for cocky boys who thought they could charm their way into anyone's good graces.

Mattheo Riddle's POV

The moment Y/N Malfoy walked into the Great Hall, it felt like the air shifted. She wasn't like the other Slytherins, all posturing and politeness. She had this quiet confidence, like she didn't care what anyone thought.

And Merlin, that sarcasm. She had a sharp tongue and wasn't afraid to use it. I loved it.

When she first brushed me off, I was intrigued. No one brushed me off. Not without trying to gain my attention again later. But Y/N? She didn't even look back.

That only made me want her more.

Over the next few weeks, I made it my mission to crack her. I'd tease her during Potions, sit near her in the library, and even "accidentally" bump into her in the hallways. She gave as good as she got, always throwing my words back in my face with a sly smile.

But one day, I saw a different side of her. It was late at night, and I was walking back from the common room when I found her in an empty classroom, practicing spells with an intensity that took my breath away. Her usual playful smirk was gone, replaced by determination.

"You're good," I said, leaning against the doorframe.

She spun around, her wand pointed at me before I could blink.

"What do you want, Riddle?"

I shrugged, stepping into the room. "Just curious why someone as brilliant as you feels the need to practice so much."

She lowered her wand, but her eyes stayed sharp. "Because brilliance isn't enough. You of all people should know that."

That was the moment I realized Y/N Malfoy was more than just a sarcastic, confident girl. She was a force to be reckoned with.

Y/N's POV

Over time, Mattheo Riddle became... unavoidable. He was always around, always smirking, always saying something infuriatingly charming.

I hated how much I started looking forward to our little exchanges.

One night, he found me in the Astronomy Tower, staring out at the stars.

"You're quiet tonight," he said, sitting beside me.

"Don't get used to it," I replied, but there was no bite in my tone.

He chuckled softly. "You know, I think I fell for you the moment you insulted me."

I turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "Fell for me? You hardly know me, Riddle."

"I know enough," he said, his voice suddenly serious. "You're smart, you're strong, and you don't let anyone—especially me—push you around. That's enough for me."

I didn't know what to say to that, so I just looked back at the stars. But when his hand brushed against mine, I didn't pull away.

The Hardships and Triumphs:

Dating Mattheo Riddle wasn't easy. He had a temper, a dark side that matched his name. And me? I wasn't exactly the picture of sweetness and light. We argued constantly, two stubborn souls clashing like fire and ice.

But for every argument, there was a moment of pure magic. Like the time he snuck me into the kitchens after curfew because I complained about the lack of decent food, or the time I hexed a Gryffindor who insulted him and he couldn't stop laughing for hours.

Our love wasn't perfect, but it was real.

Mattheo's POV

She drove me mad, but I loved her for it. Y/N challenged me, made me question everything I thought I knew about myself. She didn't care about my name or my reputation. She saw me for who I really was, and somehow, she still stayed.

One night, after a particularly bad fight, I found her sitting by the Black Lake.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly, sitting beside her.

She looked at me, her expression softening. "You're an idiot, you know that?"

I laughed, pulling her into my arms. "Yeah. But I'm your idiot."

She rolled her eyes but didn't pull away. "Don't forget it."

Their Future

Despite the odds, we made it. Through all the chaos and darkness, Y/N Malfoy was my light. And I'd spend the rest of my life making sure she knew that.
