I will be putting warnings in all chapters, what house you are in, etc. I really am trying to make the plots good but I'm not very good at grammar. If I get an idea from a creator I will tag them. I change between "I" and "you" in different chapters...
Summary:Mattheo's reaction to y/n finding a tiny grey kitten!
Mattheo had been in the middle of studying when he heard the soft mewling sound echoing from the direction of the storage containers. At first, he thought it was just the wind, or perhaps one of the other students messing around. But when the sound grew louder, his curiosity got the better of him.
He grabbed his jacket and made his way toward the conex box, his brow furrowing with confusion. The closer he got, the more distinct the tiny cries became. Pushing open the door, he froze, his heart immediately softening at the sight before him.
There, curled up in a makeshift bed of old blankets, was a tiny grey kitten, its fur ruffled and eyes still closed, looking completely vulnerable. And sitting next to it, with her hands cradling the tiny creature, was Y/N. Her face was lit up with a tender smile, completely absorbed in the little life she was holding.
"Y/N..." Mattheo's voice was gentle, a mixture of surprise and awe. "What is that?"
She looked up, her eyes sparkling with excitement and a hint of worry. "Mattheo, look! I found this little thing all alone in the conex box. I think it's been abandoned."
Mattheo crouched beside her, his usual guarded demeanor melting away as he reached out to gently stroke the kitten's tiny head. "Poor thing," he murmured, his fingers brushing over the soft fur. "It's so small..."
Y/N nodded, her thumb gently tracing along the kitten's back. "I couldn't just leave it here. It needs help, and I thought... maybe we could take care of it?"
Mattheo's gaze softened, his expression turning from one of initial surprise to something much warmer. He leaned in closer, his voice low and sincere. "Of course we will. I mean... how could I say no when you're looking at me like that?" He gave her a playful smile, but his eyes betrayed the softness he felt inside. "We'll make sure it's safe. I'll help. We'll find it a home."
The kitten let out a tiny mew, almost as if it understood the promise. Mattheo chuckled, his heart swelling with affection for both the little animal and Y/N. "You've got that look on your face," he said softly, "like you're already attached."
Y/N blushed a little, but she didn't deny it. Instead, she shrugged playfully. "What can I say? It's hard not to love something so small and helpless."
"Well, if you love it," Mattheo said, his voice teasing but warm, "then I guess I'm already in love with it too." He reached over, gently scooping the kitten up from her arms and cradling it carefully against his chest. His heart melted at the feel of the small, warm body nestled in his arms.
"Mattheo, be careful," Y/N warned with a grin. "You're starting to look like a natural."
"I am a natural," he replied with a wink. "Just watch. I'll be the best cat dad ever." He paused, his smile softening as he looked at her. "If you're okay with it, of course."
"Of course," she said, her eyes glowing. "We're in this together."
The two of them sat there in the quiet of the conex box for a while, each lost in their own thoughts, but both of them content, knowing that they'd just formed a bond over something small and precious. And though neither of them would have guessed it that day, their shared care for that tiny grey kitten would become a symbol of something much deeper, something that neither of them could have predicted. A new chapter in their lives—full of warmth, affection, and maybe a little bit of magic.
Y'all I found a tiny grey kitten in a conex box....
I named it ash, because I found it at a fire station. It's ok! Bc I asked if I could have it while visiting the firehouse!
