The Hargreeves twins were a contradiction from the very start.

Born into chaos and raised in a house that cared more about results than emotions, Five and Y/N grew up learning that survival meant standing apart. But while Five turned his sharp mind into a weapon, wielding sarcasm and wit like armor, Y/N learned how to disappear—not just physically, but emotionally.

They were experiments, after all. Reginald Hargreeves had made that clear. Their powers were tools, not gifts, and any trace of humanity was something to be crushed beneath expectation.

Five thrived under pressure. He challenged Reginald at every turn, his IQ of 165 more than enough to match the elder Hargreeves' own intellect. But Y/N? She played the long game.

At an IQ of 180, she saw the world in patterns, calculating every interaction, every word, every glance. She didn't need to argue; she let people underestimate her. She perfected the art of fading into the background, invisible without ever needing to use her power.

But being invisible didn't mean she wasn't watching.

She saw the cracks in Five's façade, the way their siblings feared and misunderstood him. She saw the way Reginald's indifference chipped away at all of them. She saw everything, and yet, no one saw her.

It was better that way.

When Five disappeared, the world seemed to collapse in on itself.

Y/N was left alone, the only one who truly understood him, and for the first time in her life, she couldn't hide. She was forced into the spotlight, her powers and intellect put to use in ways she never wanted. And when Five finally returned, decades older and burdened by the apocalypse, everything changed.

Five was the same, yet different. He was hardened, scarred by what he'd seen. But Y/N was different too. She had learned how to protect herself in his absence, how to exist without him.

Together, they forged a plan to stop the apocalypse. Together, they failed.

But there was another chance, a new opportunity to start fresh. When the timeline fractured again, the twins found themselves in an unfamiliar world. A world of magic.

Adjusting to Hogwarts was strange.

Five was quick to carve out a space for himself in Slytherin. His confidence, charm, and biting sarcasm made him a magnet for troublemakers. Mattheo Riddle, Theodore Nott, Lorenzo Berkshire, Draco Malfoy, and Blaise Zabini welcomed him with open arms, drawn to his intellect and unshakable arrogance.

Y/N, on the other hand, slipped into the shadows.

She was sorted into Slytherin, but everyone assumed she was a Ravenclaw at heart. She was too quiet, too studious, too detached. She attended classes, answered questions with precision, and vanished before anyone could strike up a conversation.
