The airport buzzed softly around us, the distant sound of flight announcements blending with the hum of rolling suitcases. Milo was sitting at Kyra's feet, his leash loosely in her hand, and for once, he wasn't causing chaos. Instead, he was calm, his big, curious eyes watching the carousel turn.

I had my arms wrapped around Kyra, my chin resting lightly on her shoulder. She smelled like lavender, a scent I could never get enough of, and I leaned in closer, my breath brushing against her neck.

"You smell so good," I murmured, my voice low and warm.

Kyra let out a soft laugh, tilting her head slightly to glance at me. "You always say that."

"Well, you always do," I replied, kissing the curve of her cheek.

"Blair," she said, laughing softly as she tried to nudge me away.

I wasn't having it. Smiling, I turned her gently around to face me, placing a kiss on her forehead, then her cheek, and finally her lips. "I love you," I whispered against her skin.

Her arms slid around my neck, holding me close as she looked up at me. "You're insufferable, you know that?"

"And yet you love me anyway," I teased, brushing my lips over hers again.

She laughed, the sound light and full of joy. "I do. Unfortunately."

I grinned, leaning in to kiss her once more, but she stopped me with a hand on my chest. "Blair," she whispered, her tone teasing. "People are watching."

"Let them," I replied without hesitation, pulling her closer.

She shook her head, laughing as she leaned into me. "You're impossible."

"And you're perfect," I replied, grinning as I pressed another kiss to the corner of her lips.

Just then, the carousel beeped to life, and I sighed, reluctantly pulling back. "Alright, let me grab my stuff."

Kyra stepped back slightly, bending down to pick up Milo as I turned to the luggage carousel. He looked so small in her arms, his dark eyes glancing between us.

"You're such a good boy, Milo," Kyra cooed, pressing a kiss to his head.

I smiled at the sight of them, my chest warming. "You two look perfect together," I said as I grabbed my first suitcase off the conveyor belt.

She glanced at me, her lips quirking into a playful smile. "Well, someone has to keep him calm while you're busy hauling luggage."

"Team effort," I said, grabbing the next bag and setting it down beside me.

With everything collected, I turned back to Kyra and Milo. She was cradling him like a baby, her fingers brushing through his soft fur as he relaxed against her.

"Alright, ready to go?" I asked, hoisting one of my bags over my shoulder.

"Let's do it," she said, shifting Milo slightly in her arms.

We walked side by side toward the exit, Kyra's laughter ringing softly in my ears as Milo gave a contented yawn.

"You know," I said, glancing at her, "this might be the calmest I've ever seen him."

"That's because I'm magic," she replied with a smirk, tilting her head at me.

I laughed, leaning down to press a kiss to her temple. "Magic or not, I'm glad you're here."

Her smile softened, and for a moment, we just walked in comfortable silence.

And as the cool breeze hit us outside the terminal, I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest person in the world—
