I looked between the two of them and then bit my lip. I didn't say a word while I did so, not knowing what Eira meant and why Katie was looking at her like that.

"Please tell me that you didn't see something, Eira," Kaite said with something in her voice that told me she didn't like whatever Eira had said either.

Eira bit back a small smile and shrugged, pressing my lips into a thin line. "I can neither confirm nor deny that information, Katie," she said with a small hum in her voice. "All I know is that there is stuff happening behind the scenes that we can not see or control. That is one of those things."

Katie pressed her lips into a thin line and worry flashed through her eyes. She did not say a word while she looked between the two of us before she solely looked at Eira, biting the inside of her lip.

"What's going on?" I asked while I furrowed my brows and cocked my head with a small frown on my face, and I couldn't help but study them. "What are you worried about?"

Eira bit back a small smile and shook her head. "Don't worry about it, Zanaya," she said before she cleared her throat and shifted on her feet. "Now, are you ok?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "Are you ready to do this?" She gestured toward the stone, and I looked toward the stone before I looked at her. "Or are you needing some questions answered?"

I hesitated before I looked at the gem again, and the urge to grab it and to seal my fate was growing strong, but I didn't do it; I couldn't. I clenched my hands into fists before I looked at Eura. "What is going to happen once I grab my stone?" I asked.

"You will seal your fate," Eira said, "and we will start training."

"You will also start trying to find how to get to Yervon," Katie said, and I looked at her with a small frown on my face. She bit back a small smile and tucked her head closer to her chest. "Unfortunately, we do not know where the main entrance is located."

"Seriously?" I asked, feeling incredulous and upset. I looked between the two of them, and Eira nodded in confirmation while she pressed her lips into a thin line. "Why? Why not?"

"Because that is where the Gods and Goddesses live, and they want to make it difficult for us to get there," Eira said before she bit back a tired sigh while she moved a hand through her hair before she shook her head and pursed her lips in annoyance. "They don't want to get hurt or killed."

I pressed my lips into a thin line before I slowly nodded. "Am I going to do this alone?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, and Eira bit back a small laugh while she shook her head.

"Oh, Gods, no," she said. "I am going to be with you for almost every step of the way," she said. She flashed me a small smirk and a wink, and I breathed a small sigh of relief while my whole body started to relax. "There will be a few things that I can't help you with, but I will do my best in making sure that you stay alive and well from the sidelines."

"Are you sure?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, and she nodded in confirmation. I pressed my lips into a thin line, and I couldn't help but feel slightly hesitant, for I had no idea if I would be able to do anything on my own.

"Hey," Eira said with a small chuckle in her voice while she tucked her head closer to her chest. "You will be fine, Zanaya, and you will be able to do everything that you have to do even if you do not think you will be able to do it."

I bit the inside of my lip while I slowly nodded. "Will you be near while I have to do something by myself?" I asked.

"When I can," she confirmed while she slowly nodded and offered me a tight smile. "I can't guarantee it, so I do want to apologize, but I do not want to tell you something that could change in the future."

I looked at the gem before I looked at her with wide eyes. I didn't say a word and didn't look at my new gem a second time, even though a part of me wanted to grab it and seal my fate so that we could start getting everything ready.

"Are there any other questions that you have for me?" Eira asked and raised an eyebrow in question while she cocked her head and studied me. "Or do you think you want to go ahead and grab your stone so that we can start?"

I hesitated and looked at the gem, pressing my lips into a thin line. I didn't say a word while my throat closed, and I couldn't help but feel very nervous and worried about starting to figure out a way to get to Yervon again.

"Zanaya?" Eira asked while she raised an eyebrow in question, and I instantly looked at her with wide eyes while I stared at her. "Are you ok?" She tucked her head closer to her chest while she stared at me.

I hesitated before I slowly nodded. "Yes," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I am scared about doing this..." I gestured to the gem, fighting the urge to grab it and seal my fate for the first time.

Eira bit back a small smile while she slowly nodded. "I know," she said. "I was the same way when I had to seal my fate, twice." She looked at Katie before she looked at me, gesturing to her friend. "Katie can attest to that."

Katie chuckled and slowly nodded. "Yes," she said. "She had been in the box for so long that they had decided to place the box on a shelf."

"Correction, David had placed the box on a shelf. No one else did anything, so it became a running joke between the two of us."

"Have we been in the box for a while?" I asked and cocked my head while I studied her, and Eira nodded in confirmation. "How long?"

"Almost an hour, so it's time for food and bed," Eira said. "However, I want to make sure that you are comfortable with what you are going to have to do." She looked at Katie. "And if there is anything that you can give to help her, that would be amazing." She raised both eyebrows in unison.

I set my jaw and looked between the two of them. I didn't say a word while I watched both of them staring at each other, not knowing what she meant, and it looked like Katie didn't know what she meant either.

Eira bit back a small sigh while she shook her head, pressing her lips into a thin line. "Never mind," she said and moved a hand through her hair. "You will know later. Contact us when you do, ok?"

Katie raised an eyebrow in question, and she looked mildly impressed and worried. "So you have seen something, yes?" she asked while she studied her with a small frown on her face. "Is that what you are implying?"

Eira bit back a small smile and shook her head. "I can not say," she said. "You will know in time." She cleared her throat and gestured toward me and then at the stone. "But for now, let's go ahead and take care of her and make sure that she feels comfortable with whatever she needs to do so that she can seal her fate."
