"I'm hitting it just like you were!" Julian explained to trey who was standing behind him in the locker room at the arena.
"You not." Trey responded.
He was sure his mother, in a literal coma, could punch better than him at this moment.
But thinking about his mom, her bills were due again this week. And so were his apartment bills. So he had to win this fight tonight, collect his money, and then pay them both.
Not to mention give lamar his money, who not to mention have been breathing down his back even more lately. Always wanting trey to come around him, and do simple shit he could do for his self.
Trey would try to say no, then the next thing he knew, lamar would bring his mother teresa up, and he had no choice but to come to him and do whatever he wanted.
Lamar hasn't even tried to threaten him with his own life anymore because he knew he didn't give a fuck about that. He hasn't for a while.
But since julian been coming around, getting lessons on how to punch and shit for the last week and a half, he hadn't even realized all the bills he payed monthly was coming up again because julian was consuming his thoughts, and pushing away all his other problems more and more. And he couldn't even control it.
It was even more crazy because julian didn't know what trey was. Who he really was. He just knew he was a fighter. That's it. And probably sailed weed, and coke. Not that he was working under a king pin. Killing people here and there. None of that. But again that didn't seem to matter to trey's non-listening mind as his thoughts about julian never seemed to grow less.
"Red!" Julian's voice snapped trey out his momentarily trance.
Trey said as calmly as ever, "Whatchu' need shorty?"
"I asked did I hit it right this time?"
"Ion know," Trey was somewhat back from julian, so he walked slowly towards him. Julian's back was towards him, so he didn't see how close trey walked up to him. Almost pressing his chest against his back.
Almost.
"What do you mean, you don't know?" Julian hadn't seemed to notice how close he was just yet.
"I meant what I said. Ion know."
Trey then leaned down towards his ear and said, "So you tell me. Did you hit it good enough?"
"Or did I hit da' bitch betta, shorty?"
Trey watched how fast julian tensed up, feeling trey breathing into his ear, and finally realizing just how close he was.
