JULIAN DIDNT KNOW HOW TO REACT since everything seemed to take place at once. And nothing seemed to take a pause to allow him to fully grasp the period of time he was in.
Firstly finding out who exactly made him fall deep into a state of depression for months. It being the person that made his life unbearable to begin with. You would think he'd peace together the fact that it was demetri because of it, but no.
He couldnt even begin to explain how he felt. He truly felt everything at once the moment demetri's name left makai's mouth.
Like the air was sucked out his lungs, and he couldnt breathe nor react. He just stood there, next to trey, not knowing exactly how to respond in that moment.
Julian could already tell trey's mood immediately shifted as well. Him calling out julians best friend, rayjay, really all his friends, proved that.
And julian couldn't blame him, demetri was the reason he almost lost trey, and his sanity all at once. Hell, Julian almost lost it. But he knew being mad wasnt going to solve anything.
So he helped his boyfriend out by simultaneously calming trey down, and then, his self. Slowly allowing his breathing to match up with trey's, and vice versa, completely controlling his emotions overall. Since being around trey helped his lifelong anxiety, and trey seemed more comfortable with him.
And it worked, for a moment, until trey got up and walked to the door. Saying he needed a minute to regroup all of what he was feeling basically.
And then to add onto to what he already knew, and all of what was happening, like all of this wasnt enough to have him staring into space for the next week figuring out what to do with what he learned, makai took trey moving away from him as a chance to pull julian off somewhere to tell him even more nonsense.
As soon as they got away from everybody, and into a random room, a guest room more specifically, makai told something that made julains mouth drop. Farther than its ever been.
