One Last Trip

Time goes fast when you spend it with the ones you love, and before anyone noticed it, two months had already passed. September brought cool, windy days, longer nights, and obviously - school. It was the time for third graders, when they realized, that their graduation is coming closer and closer. Every class focused on studying hard. There was no time to rest anymore.

The ones that especially didn't enjoy this state of affairs where Kaidou and Kuboyasu. They decided to not do any official coming out to the rest of their friends, but they didn't hide it either. It didn't take a long time for others to realize what was going on, and to their surprise, nobody minded their relationship.

Except for teachers. One time their English teacher approached them and demanded to not "parade" their relationship. It's not like they were passionately kissing on the school hallways, or really doing anything inappropriate, hence they were quite outraged by this unusual request, although they only nodded their heads in response. But from then on they couldn't really do anything, at all. At least when the teachers were looking.

As far back as in August, Yumehara made an official announcement about dating Mikoto. When she and Kaidou both revealed their partners, for the first time ever, they were both happy for each other.

When school started, everyone was trying to figure out what was going on between Hairo and Nendou, but after days of spending way too much time on that, they just gave up and came to the conclusion that these two, or at least Nendou, don't know what's going on between them either.

This day was just like every other. Like always, Kaidou was doing his best to not fall asleep on his desk. Earlier this morning he made himself a big cup of coffee, before remembering how much he didn't like it and pouring half of it to the kitchen sink.

I should've bought myself an energy drink, or two.

He was trying to stay awake until his boyfriend, Kuboyasu Aren showed up. Then, it was like a miracle. He immediately felt energized.

"Hey" as he opened his mouth, he couldn't help smiling.

"Hi" Aren replied and sat at his desk.

That's how every day was starting. After that, they would usually focus on their classes, unless one of them (mostly Kuboyasu) got bored and decided to mess with the other person. This specific day Aren came up with an interesting idea. He immediately shared it with Shun, who also seemed to be in favor of that idea.

"I'll ask mother later and let you know"

"Just don't run away!"

Aren loved making jokes referring to Kaidou's mistake, which would usually leave his boyfriend completely embarrassed. Even so, he'd rather listen to these jokes, knowing Aren wasn't angry at him for what happened, than to live in constant shame.

It was during lunch time, when somebody came to them, or to be specific, to Saiki.

"Can we talk?" the person asked "I have a big problem!"

'Deal with it then' he didn't even bother to look up 'Let me eat my lunch in peace, Toritsuka'

After several of moments like these, the boys finally realized and accepted the fact that there definitely wasn't anything going on between Saiki and Toritsuka. Although they still assumed that Reita had a thing for his friend, considering how jealous he sometimes acted.

Like for example when he found out that the amount of people knowing about Saiki's powers increased. He was devastated and called Saiki reckless, but he couldn't care less about such an opinion.

'It's my choice who I'm going to reveal my powers to' he said back then.

"You're gonna regret this!" Toritsuka yelled in response, as his eyes filled with tears.
