“Come on boy! Draw a card, you are just making the agony longer” said the man through the speakers, because John was taking a really long time to draw a card. When John was about to draw another card, he looked at the ferris wheel. After that he looked at something and thought very deeply. He then shouted:
“Okay may I request a favor?” he asked.
“What now?” the mystery man asked.
“After I draw the next card, may I go to the bathroom. I really need to go” he asked.
“Yes fine! Just draw a card and hope that someone dies” the mysterious man said.
Then John thought for a moment, then placed his hand inside the box to draw a card. He was thinking that he must avoid the ninth, tenth and the king, so that no one will get hurt. Be he noticed something odd. He saw that Victoria and another woman was screaming for help. So he drew a card.
“I have draw the queen” John sighed as he drew the card.
“As you wish” said the man again. Then suddenly the twelfth cart exploded and burst into flames. After that, John left. After ten minutes he was back, but he looked really confident than ever before. Then he shouted at the man.
“Hey! I am ready to beat you” John said confidently.
“You know John, sometimes people mistake stupidity for bravery” the mystery man said as he laughed through the speakers.
“Look, you now will loose. I assure you by applying statistics and probability” John said as he pulls out a calculator.
“Come on let’s face it, the more cards you draw, the lower the chance for you to draw the joker. Why, you even bothered to bring out a calculator? You are such a looser, a nerd” the man said as he kept on laughing.
“Shut up and let’s play” John said.
“Ah, now your trying to be tough. I respect your foolishness. Now let us begin” the man said.
“Hey, I have a challenge for you” John said as he was shaking the box.
“Okay what is it? Nerd” the man asked.
“Let us make this game, fast paced. What if I drew two cards at a time? Sound great?” John asked as he was tempting the man inside the cart.
“Sure, that makes it even better” the man said.
“Oh yeah, and by the way. This secret camera behind me, which is nailed to this post, I already found it. But don’t worry, I will even flash the cards on the cam for you to see it clearer” John said, as he was showing the police and the fire department the secret camera.
“Ah, you are not only a nerd, but also clever. You discovered the camera. Bravo! Magnificent! Now shall we begin?” the man asked. But then his tone changed. He was getting a little bit nervous because John is trying to find out where he is.
“Now I draw” John said as he placed his hand inside the box as he shakes it.
“Come on boy! Use your math or geometry or biology or else we will have a eulogy” the chief of police said nervously.
“Chief, calm down. I got this” John said as he winked at the chief of police.
“God speed” the chief said.
“Hey, mystery man. I drew the ace and the three of clubs. Now blow up those two carts” John said as he pointed at the carts.
“What? Oh, now you’re asking for it. Well, if you insist” the man said. Then the first and the third carts disappeared in a ball of flame.
