“We will be dead in two weeks, all because of that bloody peasant” Ted shouted.

“Yeah, I….didn’t know it would end this way. But hey! At least we partook in history” John said, as he tried to lift Ted’s spirits.

“Wait, look at these window bars” Ted said, as he pointed at the railings on the windows.

“Yeah, they look so fragile” John said.

“I think, I know a way we can get out of these blasted cages” Ted said as he tried to pull on the rails.

Then suddenly, Ted stopped as he heard foot steps from a guard who went in front of their cell. He clanged on the door using his stick.

“Hey, vous avez un visiteur(Hey, you have a visitor)” said the guard.

“What the, who would even visit us? Do you think this is weird?” Ted said, as he and John stood up and went outside of the cell one at a time. When it was John’s turn to come outside, the guard closed the cell and said:

“Il suffit de lui. Restez ici(Just him. Stay here)”

“What did he say Ted?” John asked as he peeped his head outside the railings.

“He said, only me and you must stay here” Ted answered.

“Well, listen up here you son of a bitch” John said to the guard.

“Qu'avez-vous dit?( What did you say?)” the guard asked to Ted.

“Il a dit que vous êtes un grand homme(He said that you are a great man)” Ted answered.

“Eh bien, je le sais. Maintenant, allez, ne laissez pas votre visiteur attendre(Ah well I know that. Now come on, don't let your visitor wait)” the guard said as he escorted Ted towards the visiting area. Meanwhile, while Ted was away, he looking out the window. John then heard a shouting from the nearby cell.

“Hey there” the bearded man said.

“Hello, who are you?” he asked.

“Well, I be Andre De Sperado, who might you be?” the man answered.

“I am John” John said as he shook Andre’s hand from outside the window.

“I heard you’re gonna be beheaded tomorrow” Andre asked.

“Yeah, I know but there’s nothing we could do here” John said as he looked down with despair.

“I heard that something was buggin up tomorrow and that the both of you must be disposed off as soon as possible to avoid further damage” Andre said.

“Well, I will be seeing you in the other life” John said, as he talked to Ted who had just entered the room while the guard was locking the door.

        “Who was it?” John asked.

“I do not know, but that nice man gave me a file to escape with” Ted answered, showing him a file.

“Wow! Hurry up and file those rails off. I will sing to drown the sound okay?” John answered. Ted nodded. John then called Andre through the window and told him to sing with him. He gladly obeyed. They all sang a merry song. It was so merry that everyone joined in and sang with John. Soon the whole corridor was full of songs.
