Chapter 11: A Few Secrets Out

Lin: Mana-san, where have you been?

Me: I was busy sitting down and being bored in life.

Lin: Why were you sitting down and being bored? Why not do something productive, like riding your bike.

Me: Tch, all you do is type on your computer. Yet your scolding me on going outside.

Lin: That's different; I have a job, you don't. Now you don't have a reason to be angry.

Me: *pouts* I hate you, why do you have to have many reasons for me not to be mad... Can we start the chapter now?

Lin: *sighs* Sure, but tell me, do you have a favorite character on Ghost Hunt?

Me: I do, my favorite character is John. *giggles* John is my favorite because he looks cute. *leans towards Lin's ears* Don't tell him I said that.

Lin: Mana does not own Ghost Hunt. Please enjoy the chapter, now on with the story.

Naru's P.O.V

When I walked out of Mai's room,  I thought, 'Why did I say that?' My cheeks turned into a light pink. I covered my face with my hand. Then I walked back into my room.

After doing a bit of work, I decided that it was time for me to go to bed. I put on my pajamas and went into a dreamless sleep.

~Time Skip~

I heard my alarm go off, it was 6 o'clock. When I was finished I went to knock on Mai's door. "Mai, wake up, we have to go to your aunt's toy factory." I stated, wondering if she was still asleep. (A/N: Darn, I'm using a lot of I's in this chapter •~•)

The door opened, revealing Mai wearing her pajamas and rubbing her eyes with her left hand. I blushed a light tint of pink. 'Damn, why does she have to look so adorable like this... I hope she doesn't notice my blush...' I thought, trying to pull off my poker face.

Mai looked at me, confused as to why I woke her up at six in the morning. "Naru, why did you wake me up so early in the morning?" She asked me, yawning a bit. "If it's something unrelated to eating breakfast, I'm going back to bed." She told me, heading back to bed with her back faced towards me.

I sighed, "I guess you're still as dumb as ever." I stated, making sure she would be full awoken by my comment.

She stopped walking and looked at me with widened eyes. "I'm not dumb at all!! It's your fault you had to go and wake me up at six in the morning you narcissistic idiot scientist!" She yelled at me, having an angry look in her eyes.

I sighed again, "Well, you are being dumb since we're in a hotel and you're yelling." I told her, all the while smirking. "I'm pretty sure you woke up at least a few people, including yourself." I continued.

She put her hand over her mouth. She whisper yelled, "That was a dirty trick Naru, I can't believe you made me do that!" She closed her door, "Let me change, then I'll go with you." She told me, her voice becoming quieter each word she said.

I started to head down to meet the others in the lobby. When I was in the elevator, it stopped and I saw the whole SPR team see me and walk in. There was a long quite silence until someone broke it. "Good morning Naru, how was your rest?" Lin asked me,  knowing that no one was going to speak.

"Good morning Lin, I slept fine." I replied, trying to make little conversation. Suddenly, the elevator stopped and opened its door revealing Mai's friend, James.

He smiled, "Hey guys, have you seen Mai? I promised to make her waffles today." James said, explaining why he was here.

I answered, "She's in her room getting ready." I thought, 'Dammit, why didn't my  Mai tell about this.' Jealousy was consuming me, but I kept my mask on. "Well, we should be leaving to eat breakfast." I stated, already walking away and towards the doors.

I was already at the door when I felt James look at me. "Thank you Shibuya-san, Mai and I will meet you at the factory." He said, "By the way, Mai and myself will have to leave the factory at three o'clock p.m."

I nodded my head and proceeded to open the door. I heard Ayako ask, "Why do you guys have to leave the factory at three o'clock p.m.?"

James answered, "Mai and I are going to hang out with our friends. We're gonna hang out at the beach." He sighed, "I don't think Mai wants to come today, she's gonna see her pervert friend who left a year ago without saying goodbye."

"Mai has a pervert friend besides Yasu?" Monk asked, "I didn't think that she would have another pervert friend. What's this pervert's name?"

"His name is Trevor, and he's gay." James replied. "I better get going, it's already 6:15."

I opened the door in front of me. "Come on, it's time for us to get to the factory." I watched as everyone nodded their heads and walked towards the door. I stepped out the door and into the outside. I moved swiftly into the car I had rented for Lin and I.

While I was looking in my little black notebook, I heard Lin go into the car. "I thought you told Mai to get ready so we could leave together?" He asked, I looked at his face which held confusion.

I sighed, "Plans change, so please refrain from asking questions." I stated, maybe hinting a little bit of jealousy. "Start driving, we do not wish to be late."

Lin still had that look of confusion, until I glared at him. "Okay." Was the only thing he said until he started to drive.

By the time we got to the factory, I already finished all the research we gained on the said place. There was one detail that lingered in my mind. The report said that there is a spot where many expensive toys were held. I was gonna make sure I talk to Mai about it.
