Chapter 16: Surprise Surprise

3rd Person P.O.V

With the SPR gang

"What do you mean she already left?!" Ayako and Monk shouted.

Yasuhara sighed again, "She's going to the beach with her friends."

Monk shouted again, "We know! We want to know why!"

"Mai has to take a test and go to a meeting later, so her friends suggested to leave here early so they would have more time to hang out," he answered.

Ayako began to shout, "Come on, why couldn't she-" she got cut off.

"Be quiet, Mai's not here, it doesn't matter anymore. Just get back to work you three," Naru said. "Lin, come with me to look around." He left the room, leaving everyone to watch his retreating back.

"Dang, I think he must be jealous of Mai's friends seeing her in a bikini," Yasuhara stated.

Monk nodded his head, making Ayako hit him in the head with her purse. He held his head, "Dang woman, what do you have in that purse?"

She made a humph sound and looked to the side. "That's for me to know, and you not to know." She said, "Either way, it's not like you'll ever find out."

He frowned, "If you're not going to let me know. Then I'll take the audacity to call it the witch's purse."

Without even noticing, a purse hit him in the head again. "Don't you dare call it that you a-"

"Don't even think about saying that," Masako scolded them. "I can't believe you'd even say that." She gasped, her kimono sleeve covering her mouth.

Ayako rolled her eyes in response. "Puh-lease, you have heard that word before. I'm almost positive you've said it more than 5 times in your life."

The rest of them snickered, except for John.

Masako fumed, "Humph, how dare you think I'll say such an indecent word." She left the room, her head held high. "Now if you'll excuse we have to do our job."

John rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "She is right you know, I guess I'll speak to you guys later." He left the room, leaving Yasuhara to shake his head.

"I don't get how John keeps up with her," Yasuhara said. He looked at the other two and said, "You really should get back to work before Naru comes back angry."

They nodded and left Yasuhara to research more about the factory.

With Mai and James

"I HATE YOU!"

James lost control of he car, but quickly regained it. "Come on, it's not going to be bad. It's been a while since you've seen him," he reassured her. "Besides, didn't you miss him?"

She pouted, "Stop the car." She then yelled, "Get me out of this car right now!"

He shook his head at her. "No, we are already near the beach. If you want a ride home, then you're going to have to ask someone else."

She grind her teeth together. "I. Will. Not. Go. And. See. Trevor. At. The. Beach. Today."

He growled like an animal in return, "You will go and see him."

"No," she stated, "I will not go and I will gladly ask someone, anyone for a ride home."

He had a serious, angry face on. "Don't mess with me Mai. You will go no matter what happens."

Mai stuck her tongue at him. "I hate you still, but only because your helping me with my plan." She frowned quickly and looked out the window.

James sighed in relief, "Thank gosh," he smiled. "Why are so angry at him not saying bye to you?" he asked.

Mai ignored his question and asked one of her own. It was the typical, "Are we there yet?"

He scowled, "You know," he started, "I think that's the number one question I hate the most." He was replied with silence. He quickly decided to answer since it didn't look like she'll talk to him anytime soon. "No, we aren't there yet."

She smirked, "Really? Are you sure of that?" She questioned him.

James checked his surroundings, questioning his own answer. He paled, "I can't believe it, we're already here!"

Mai shook her head in disbelief. "Why do you not believe it? I mean, you are the one driving."

James eyes widened, "We've been tricked! It's only 12:30! My calculations from earlier said it would have been an hour." He mumbled the last sentence.

Mai smiled, "Really? Then I would've been able to stay at work," she said sarcastically. "NOW TELL ME WHY WE WERE TRICKED TODAY!! I HAVE A BUSY SCHEDULE AND I WAS HOPING TO HAVE A PEACEFUL DAY TODAY, BUT NO, I HAVE TO BE TRICKED BY MY OWN FRIENDS WITH THE TIME!!!!"

James started to freak out. "Mai,  I think we should ask them why and hope they have a good reason," he said, trying to calm her down. "Either way, if they don't have a good reason. Then I'll allow you to hurt them." He parked the car in the closest parking spot for the beach.

Suddenly, a car parked to the side of them. The people in the car came out and saw us. They looked terrified at the sight of them.

Mai grinned, and got out of the car. She waved her hand high. "Hey guys, I can't believe that we're all together now. Now," she felt her eye twitch, making the people from the other car even more scared. "Why did you trick us with how long the place was going to be from the factory? You do know that I have to study for my test at six, right?"

It was quiet for a moment, until one of the people from the group started to reply. "It's just that Trevor was anxious to see you, being that you were the one to show him to the group," she said, rubbing the back of her neck nervously.

Mai just kept her facial expression. "Really then," she looked at Trevor, who was looked at his feet. "Trevor, do you have something to say to me then?"

Trevor showed gave her a sheepish grin. "I'm sorry, I should've told you I was leaving and that I should've said goodbye."

Mai apparently liked his answer and nodded at his answer. "Well, you're lucky I missed you a lot."

Everyone's mouths gaped open, "ARE YOU SERIOUS!! WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO FORCE YOU, YOU ONLY NEEDED AN APOLOGY!!" Mai nodded laughing at all of them.

With a Certain Person in England

He looked at his watch. "Hey mom, dad, I'm going to America and help Noll take back his love."

Luella giggled, "Of course you can go, your brother might need all the help he can get, so I want Madoka to go with you."

He nodded and went to Madoka's office. He opened the door, "We're going to America, get ready."

Madoka smiled in response, "Of course, what time are we leaving, Gene?"

Me: WOAH!!! GENE IS BACK!!! *coughs in an awkward way* Sorry, I'm just feeling really excited right now. Are you shocked? 'Cause I sure am. I'm hoping to update again this week, so yeah. *points at Masako* Lets give it up for Masako.
