Chapter 23: Texts Sending Plans

Gene's P.O.V

Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I looked their way, "Hey Madoka, are we already here?" I didn't bother to hear her answer since I could just look out the window, which is what I just did.

"Yes Gene, but when you ask a question, please wait for their response before you ignore them," Madoka advised me. "Well, did you make a plan into pushing the two lovebirds together?"

I shrugged, "I never really thought of a plan, so..."

Madoka shook her head at me. "We come all the way to California to get Mai and Noll together, but you don't have any sort of plan. Oh well, we can still make our plan before we reach the factory. Any ideas?"

I was about to tell her one of my ideas, when suddenly one of the flight attendants told us that it was time to get off the plane. I obliged and got up to follow Madoka, off the plane.

We went to grab our stuff and walk towards the front where Lin and Noll said they'd pick us up at. I looked at her and began to answer her question from before. "Sure, but this plan already has Mai helping a bit," I said.

Madoka looked at me surprised that I said Mai has already helped in the plan I just thought of. "Really? Can you tell me how Mai's helped in this plan without her knowing?" I could tell she was interested in this plan already.

I nodded, but then I was interrupted before I even said anything again. I knew who it was when they said, "Hello Gene, Madoka, we're here to pick you up like we said yesterday." It was Lin doing the talking since Noll was busy looking in that little black notebook of his.

We, meaning Modoka and I, both smiled at him in appreciation. "Thanks Lin," I said, already putting my stuff in the car. "I thought you guys wouldn't pick us up at all," I said with a nervous tone."

"Why would you think that?" Noll asked.

I answered him, "'Cause you don't look excited about seeing me alive," I teased.

He sighed and sarcastically said, "What are you talking about, I'm really excited."

'He still doesn't take jokes,' I thought to myself. "Yeah right," I responded with anyways.

He shook his head at my antics and focused his attention on the black notebook.

When everything was packed up, Madoka and I sat in the car. After getting buckled, Lin started the car and drive to our destination, the hotel.

During the drive, which was two hours, I took out my phone and texted Modoka. Hey Madoka :) -Me

I heard her phone go off and saw Lin look through the mirror to see what was going on. What Madoka did though, was respond to Lin with an apologizing smile, and lowered her phone's volume. I could tell she read the text when she responded with, Hey Gene, you do know I'm right by you, right? -Madoka

Yeah, but we need to talk about the plan to get the lovebirds together. -Me

Oh, we can't talk out loud because Noll is right in front of us! -Madoka

Yeah, so we could communicate like this the whole time without Noll suspecting a thing. -Me

Alright then, you said you had a plan that involved my helping somehow already. What is it? -Madoka
