Techno was actually happy, after their date, he and Champ had gotten closer than ever. To his luck, Champ had been in the mood after they arrived at their dorm so Techno got to enjoy an after party that left him limping slightly. He was a little confused by Champ's bruised knuckles the next morning. He wondered what happened but his boyfriend just waved his concern away, "That's from the gym yesterday."
'Huh, how come I didn't notice.'
Still, Techno was happy as he practically pranced to class. Even Type's snark and grumpiness did nothing to dampen his mood. Even a call from his brother that asked him to come over didn't dampen Techno's mood. His brother sounded strange especially when the younger man insisted that he bring Champ. Techno was sure that his brother was just going to apologize for how cold he had been to the man. His boyfriend seemed a little more skeptical but still agreed to go, "I'm not going to let you go over there alone."
'I guess the dislike and mistrust is mutual.'
Arriving at the house, Champ seemed to become alert while Techno was still riding his happy, 'I just had great sex' high. As they entered the courtyard to the house that served as a parking pad, they noticed that a black car was parked there. Champ immediately recognized the car and it made him tense, 'kid seriously needs to learn his lesson.' He was almost impressed by the kid's determination and tenacity but he was annoyed and frustrated more than anything, he was ready to take off the kid-gloves and really teach him a lesson.
'I'll show him that what I did last night was just a tap compared to what I can do.'
"Technic," Techno addressed his brother who was standing by the entrance. "Why did you call for me?"
"This is not about you but about him," Technic pointed to Champ like he was dirt on his shoes.
"What?" Techno looked confused until Kengkla stepped out and showed his bruised face.
He wasn't as smart and observant as Type but he wasn't as stupid as people believed him to be. He could put two and two together, so Kengkla's face, Technic's words and Champ's bruise knuckles was enough to paint a perfect picture for him. Suddenly he got a vague image of Kengkla being in his room last night and Techno walking out leaving his boyfriend and the young boy alone.
"Forgive me, P'No," Kengkla pleaded softly. "I care for you deeply but I cannot let him get away with his violence. I worry that he'll soon turn to you," the boy declared, playing the role of victim so obnoxiously that it made Champ sneer.
Before anyone could talk, the courtyard was rushed by what felt like an over the top number of police officers. It almost seemed as if they were apprehending some criminal mastermind, serial killer or superpowered villain. "Get on your knees and put your hands up!" They yelled, startling Champ and Techno who began to kneel but then Kengkla stepped forward like he was the president or police commissioner controlling them all.
"Not him," he pointed to Techno, walking forward as if to help the man stand up but Champ jumped forward making the younger boy flitch back.
The officers rushed to Champ, getting him on the floor and handcuffing him as Techno pleaded for them to stop. "This is a misunderstanding, he has done nothing wrong!" They pull Champ up and the man, despite his situation, tried to calm Techno down and even reassure him. "He was only protecting me. Technic, tell them!" Techno turned to his brother who just shrugged with a smile on his face.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I just know that this man assaulted my friend."
Techno stared at his brother with wide eyes, he could not believe the betrayal and suddenly he understood why both Type and Champ did not like his brother and insisted that he kept his distance from the boy. He knew his little brother was ambitious and that wasn't a bad thing but this was going too far. "He," Techno pointed to Kengkla. "Entered my room without permission and tried to touch me so my boyfriend stepped in and defended me!" He screamed to the officers that were leading Champ to their car.
