After that, things went back to the normal, almost boring, routine of going to classes, internship and after classes activities, football for Type and Music for Tharn. Apparently the younger man was recruiting members to form a band so that they could play in bars and earn some money. In their dorm, Type went back to paying for their food while Tharn bought it and they both pretended not to notice or decided not to acknowledge the very domestic unspoken deal. In between it all they teased and taunted each other with banter that had gotten much softer and affectionate.
All this changed thanks to Techno because when asked months later, Tharn would still declare that it had been the other man's fault. Techno was the one that suddenly pointed out Type's 'depressingly' -his own words- singleness. To be fair to his best friend, Valentine's day was coming up and everyone had been talking about their plans with their significant others so Type's lack of plans was what reminded Techno that his friend was still single. Now, normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing because all good friends would worry and want their friend to be happy.
"Maybe that's why you're so grumpy and violent," Unfortunately, Techno forgot who his best friend was. "OW! Type, that hurt!"
"You walked right into that one," Ae simply said, shaking his head.
"Yea, P'No even I knew that was coming," even Can, the most oblivious member of their team, declared, giggling. The look of betrayal on Techno's face just made them all laugh and it only got worse when Champ spoke up.
"You did earn that one."
"Champ," Techno whined at his boyfriend, who simply shrugged. He turned to a smirking Type with a glare. "Now you're turning my people against me? You don't even like people!"
"And yet they seemed to like me," Type declared with smug satisfaction and Techno turned to his team, ready for someone to say otherwise but everyone just avoided his eyes; it was clear that whether they felt it or not, they were all too scared of Type to challenge the man's words.
"This feels like a dictatorship," the captain whined.
"Isn't that what you wanted?" Champ wondered, actually, and adorably in Techno's opinion, confused.
"Yes, but I was supposed to be the dictator! Not the dictator's best friend!"
"At least that means you're safe," someone tried to cheer the older man up but his words just made everyone laugh loudly and mockingly.
"I'm the one he hits the most!"
Despite his best friend's reaction, after this conversation, Techno took Type out every night, trying to get him 'back out there' but he forgot that while Type went to parties and functions, he only did it due to work or obligation to his uncle and the commitment he made. If he had the choice, he wouldn't even leave his room or his comfort zone. Despite his anti-social tendencies, the grumpy man could be extremely charming when he wanted to so it wasn't hard for him to have all the girls eating out of the palm of his hands.
"Charming motherfucker..." Techno grumbled with a glare and sneered at the stranger occupying his grumpy and violent best friend's body.
Type flirted but Techno could tell that he wasn't really trying, yet somehow the man actually met someone. This was how Type met the beautiful Cherry, the unbelievably beautiful and playful, hospitality and tourism management major who hadn't even been a target but a friend of someone Techno was trying to introduce Type to. The young woman was not only beautiful but she was graceful and smart, speaking up to four languages and working on learning another one. "Well, my father insisted I should learn Spanish," she didn't necessarily brag about her skills but she wasn't overly humble about it either which Type actually respected.
