After Tharn's confession and Type's apology, the two had almost become friends, even better than they were when Tharn first moved in, before Type found out he was gay. On the other hand, despite the progress they made with touching, Tharn still kept his distance. The man was still constantly cautious not to touch Type and just like he promised, all their contact had been initiated by Type. And while Type found it annoying, he became grateful for it when he realized what day was approaching.
At first, it had almost caught him by surprise, everything had settled down around him. He let it lull him into a false sense of security. It wasn't until he started to get messages from his parents, Saengdao and his uncle asking him how he was doing and telling him that they were there for whatever he needed, that Type began to realize something was off. He checked his calendar and felt like an ice dagger pierced his brain. Everything seemed to blur and move in slow motion as if he didn't have the mental capacity to process it.
The anniversary of the day Type was marked forever, was approaching and he hadn't even noticed. He felt angry for being so stupid and letting himself get swept away by the normalcy that he had found in the last few days. The realization changed everything, especially his attitude, after that Type was constantly in a somber almost brooding mood. If he was not somber and detached, Type was short-tempered and angry, at least more than usual.
"Fuck off," to professors.
"Do you want to lose the use of your arms?" to random students.
"Hey, fat ass, how about you lay off the food for a while," to Techno.
"How fucking stupid can you be?! I've explained it six times!" to the team.
"How about you shove it up your ass, Don't you love that," and even to Tharn.
No one was saved from Type's anger; even worse it was unpredictable and random, anything could set the younger man off. Techno, once he realized what was going on, made sure to keep everyone at a distance and explain that this was not a good time for his best friend. "He just needs some space and time," he explained. Making sure that no one on the team bothered him while Type's uncle took care of making sure the professors also left the boy alone. In all this neither of them thought to mention anything to Tharn who due to their close proximity got the brunt of the anger.
The poor man was confused and hurt by Type's actions and words. He thought they had become friends but now he was questioning everything. The Type he had met in the last few months wasn't like this; even when he first found out that Tharn was gay, Type wasn't this bad. It got to the point where Tharn had been genuinely worried that Type would get physically aggressive. His sexuality resurfaced and him liking men once again became a problem, the jabs and comments were hurtful border on cruel.
Type seemed to suddenly go back to thinking that Tharn was the scum of the earth, that he was just some pervert that would take advantage of any male to get pleasure. "Adult men are never enough for you people!" The implication that Tharn would ever do something to a child, both hurt and infuriated him.
For the first time since they moved in together, Tharn thought about leaving the dorm and Type. He wasn't sure he could take much more, it wasn't until late one night after they had been fighting and Tharn stormed out that things cleared up slightly. Tharn had walked around to clear his head and waited until late, hoping that Type would be asleep. He almost rejoiced when he entered the room and the man was sleeping.
