Beep, Beep, Beep
I heard the beeps keeping ringing in my ears. I then shifted a little only to cry out in pain. I heard footsteps get closer to me. I thought it was Chuck running towards me so i lifted my arms up. "Lanny its fine I'm here." I opened my eyes to see Jack standing by my bed. I tried lifting up so i could hug him but a pain shot though my torso again, i cried out again. "Lanny stop moving." I locked eyes with his red puffy ones but his green eyes shined through. "Where am i? Why are you crying? What happened?" Jack tucked a strand behind my ear. "Your in the Hospital Lanny. When you were leaving, Chuck pushed you into the street and a car was coming and yea..." I nodded.
I was trying to hold back tears, but it was no use. "I'm so stupid." Jack sat on the edge of the bed rubbing one of my arms. "No your not." He said trying to connect our gazes wich i denied. But no matter what he said i knew how dumb it was to trust him. "Lanny clam down your starting to shake." I looked down at jack who had concern written on his face. I took a few deep breaths but the tears kept coming. "Lanny relax I'm here for you." I felt relief wash over me at the sound of his words. I finally connected our eyes and gave him a smile, he returned the small gesture.
"How badly was i hurt?" He started shaking his head. "Two broken ribs and a concussion." his gaze went to the floor, I nodded a few times because i didn't know how to respond. "I heard you call my name before i got hit." His eyes connected with mine again. "Um. Yea. I ran over and held you till ambulance came. Lanny i thought...i thought you were.." I placed my hand on top of his. "Jack I'm fine now." He stood up from the bed "No. Its not fine. He tried to kill you" I saw a tear run down his cheek. "Lanny i-" I cut him off. "No Jack, your right."
Knock Knock
I jumped but immediately felt the pain in my rib cage. "Come in!" Jack shouted. Finn and Marcus came running in. "Lanny you feeling ok?" Finn asked storming into the room. I got scared and backed away a little in response. "Finn stop!" Jack said standing between the two of us. "Sorry Lanny. How you feeling?" Jack came back to my side and i gave him a smile to thank him. "I feel like shit." Everyone in the room nodded. "What happened Jack?" Marcus asked. Jack turned so he was facing them now "We were going to get some of her clothes, but i guess Chuck caught her. All i saw was Lanny running out and Chuck pushing her in front of a car." "Where the hell is he?" Finn asked. Jack looked at the floor and at me. "They don't know." I felt fear creep up my body."WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" I shouted jack told me to calm down while rubbing my leg over the sheets. "Don't worry I'm here." I nodded and relaxed a bit. "Lanny we are all here for you." Marcuse said

"Lanny I'm gonna find you!" Chuck said holding a knife up to my neck. I backed up into a wall. "NO NO NO!" I yelled out. Then bright headlights formed behind. "NO! NO! STOP! STOP!" I yelled to avail. I could now see the car rushing towards me at a fast rate. "Lanny wake up!" The lights faded are were replaced by the lights above my hospital bed. Jack was standing above me cupping my face gently. "It was a bad dream, your fine." I felt him wiped the wetness from my face. I pulled him by his arms down to me. His feet were still hanging off the side and his hands on both sides of me. I buried my face into the crook of his neck and cried.
I felt him slowly lift me up so I was sitting up. he wrapped his arms around me gently not to hurt me. "Jack I'm so scared." I said into his neck. one of his hands went from my back to my side rubbing it a little. we parted so we could look at each other. i looked down at my legs not wanting to looking at him.
"I know. Don't be I'm here for you." he lifted my face to to meet his gaze.I looked at my lips and he did the same. we slowly started leaning in "SHIT!" I cried out from the pain shooting through my torso. "lay back down." Jack said. He started slowly helping me lay back down. "go to sleep" he told me walking back to the chairs where Finn and Marcus slept.
