FORK, WASHINGTON: MARCH 2005
ONE SECOND Astrid was standing in place, the next she was running. Feet pounding against the soft grass as she fell behind the moving forms of Edward and Bella, as the bronze haired Cullen lead the two humans back over to the parked car. She left behind Jasper and the rest of the Cullen's as she was quickly shoved into the back of the Jeep alongside Bella who climbed into the front. Astrid saw Edward fumbling with Bella's seatbelt in his barely concealed panic and speedily placed hers across her tense body.
"Okay, I've got it! I've got it!." Bella yelled in frustration, pushing Edward's hands away from her. "I'm alright!"
Edward drew back and raced around the car to drivers seat, slamming doors as he went in his own frustration. Fear swirling around him like a hurricane. Bella turned to him as threw himself down beside her and started the car, pale hands running through her messy hair.
"What, now he's coming after me? What about Astrid, is she in danger as well?" Bella asked but received no answer, her boyfriend simply revving Emmett's Jeep and taking off. Astrid did not let herself relax in her seat, sitting up straight and staring dead ahead.
