The engine roared to life.

Tony and Layla screamed.

Cisco's voice rang out from the garage. "WHY IS MY CAR MOVING?!"

Tony sighed, rubbing his face. "I miss fighting cyborgs."

Layla smirked. "You'd rather face DANN again than parent our son?"

Tony watched as Ryder grabbed the steering wheel and laughed maniacally. "Yes. Yes, I would."

Layla chuckled. "Too bad. Welcome to parenthood, Toretto."

Tony grabbed Ryder from the driver's seat just in time to stop him from reversing straight into the workbench.

Ryder was ecstatic. "VROOM VROOM!"

Tony held him up, wide-eyed. "Layla. I think we might be raising a legend."

Layla shook her head. "We're raising a menace."

Cisco stormed into the garage, hands on his head. "I leave for one hour, and I come back to find a toddler stealing my car?! Toretto, get your son under control!"

"I'm trying!" Tony protested. "But you gotta admit, the kid's got talent."

Cisco pointed at him. "No. Absolutely not. You are not encouraging this."

Ryder wriggled in Tony's arms, still grinning. "Uncle Cisco, me drive?"

Cisco paled. "Not in a million years."

Tony smirked. "See, I told you. Instincts."

Layla rubbed her temples. "That's it. No more cars, no more tools, no more gadgets—he needs something else. Something safe."

"Like what?" Tony asked.

Layla thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. "Preschool."

Tony froze. "What?"

"Preschool," Layla repeated. "We enroll him in one of those half-day programs. He makes friends, learns stuff, burns energy—"

"Preschool?" Tony looked personally offended. "Layla, we can't send him to preschool. He's barely three!"

"Tony, if we don't, we're not going to survive until four."

Tony glanced at Ryder, who was now poking Cisco's car horn repeatedly, giggling at every honk.

"... Okay, you might have a point."

Layla smirked. "I always have a point."

Tony sighed, looking at his son. "Alright, buddy. Looks like you're going to school."

Ryder frowned. "No school. More vroom."

Tony and Layla shared a look.

Layla sighed. "It's gonna be a long year, isn't it?"

Tony groaned. "Longer than my entire career as a spy."

Cisco shook his head. "Yeah. Good luck with that."

As Ryder took off running again, Tony chased after him, laughing despite himself. Because at the end of the day, raising a toddler was the hardest mission he had ever faced.

But he wouldn't trade it for anything.

THE END

This is the last part of the Birth of Ryder mini-series that I will be writing. As much as I love Ryder, please do not ask for more. It gets boring for me to be writing the same things every time. Thank you for your support!
