"Klaus." Marcel greets and we look behind us to see him. He then looks at me not saying anything.

"You've been avoiding my calls." Nik comments.

"Little pissed off lately." He tells us.

"Apologies for my behavior can come later. You have something of mine. I want it back." Nik exclaims. Marcel pulls out the silver dagger and holds it up.

"Sorry, but I can't do that." He says and holds out the dagger to his side, and Rebekah enters the courtyard and takes it from him. Nik looks both unamused and suspicious.

"What is this?" Nik and I ask in unison.

"Apologies for your behavior? You don't apologize, Nik. You just act. I've had enough. Wehave had enough." Rebekah exclaims and she looks at Marcel for a second.

"Look at you. Finally in possession of the one thing that can take you down. How does it feel?"  Nik asks slowly walking towards them with me in tow.

"Great." Rebekah says with a glare.Marcel whistles, and a dozen or two vampires come out of the woodwork and fill the balconies. One of them comes up from behind me and holds me back. I try to get out and Nik looks at me and I nod knowing if I keep doing this I can hurt the baby.

"So this is it? The evil bastard Klaus has gone too far, must be punished. And by his own sibling, nonetheless. How positively biblical. And you, Marcel, is this-- [He points at the vampires]-- your idea of a hit? I taught you better than this paltry excuse for a take-down. Do you think you can subdue me with this!?" Nik asks sarcastically.

"No. But I think I can with this." Marcel whistles again, and dozens more vampires appear and fill the balconies.

"Let's end this charade, shall we? Vampires of New Orleans! Do recall that I am an Original. A hybrid. I cannot be killed. Eternity is an awfully long time. How long, do you think, Marcel will stay in power? What if one of you lot were to release me, knowing I will be eternally in your debt? Oh, I would pity those of you who dared to cross me. I can assure you, your ends would be spectacular. To borrow a trick from an old friend-- [He reaches out his hand, which holds a large gold coin]-- Whoever picks up this coin gets to live. [He drops the coin on the floor in front of him] Now, which of you magnificent bastards wants to join me?" Nik tries the trick but it seems like no one wants to. I try to get out of the vampires grip. Why is it that when I am pregnant a mere vampire can hold me back?

"Anyone wants that coin, pledge allegiance to Klaus. Take it now. Go ahead. The choice is yours." Marcel tells all the vampires. No one moves, except for Nik, who is slightly astonished that no one picks up the coin. Marcel looks at him, proud of the loyalty his minions show.

"Take him." Marcel tells his vampires and I try harder to get out of the vampire's grip as some of the vampires lunge for Nik, but he easily takes them out. However, when Nik stretches his arms wide on either side, two other vampires wrap his wrists in chains and bind him. I growl as they look triumphant for a moment. I feel my hybrid face come out along with Nik's. We growl deeply before I break away from the vampire killing him. I see Nik breaking through his bonds and viciously biting and killing every vampire who comes at him. I help him as Rebekah is paralyzed by fear as she watches us quickly gain the upper-hand.

"Marcel! Come and finish this!" Nik yells and I growl loudly.

"Enough!" Marcel yells and suddenly, the room falls absolutely silent, and the fighting stops. Marcel picks up the coin off the ground and holds it up.

"Well, well, well. The great Marcel, self-proclaimed king of New Orleans, bowing before me." Nik smirks and my eyes slowly become normal along with Nik's. Marcel throws the coin at Nik's feet.

"There. I hereby pledge my allegiance to you. You have the keys to my kingdom. It's yours." Marcel says as he stays on one knee. I stand out of my crouch and Nik smiles gleefully. Nik and I go home. The next morning Rebekah and Elijah was once again better. Hayley told me of everything about what she found out. I sit and ignore them playing with fire once again and Nik grabs me as we leave to go back to our new home. Later that night Nik had made a dinner for everyone for his victory at getting the quarter back from Marcel. I sit at one end of the very long table and Nik was at the other end. Nik taps his glass with his fork getting everyone's attention.

"Let us begin with a toast to our shared gift: immortality. After a thousand years, one might expect life to be less keenly felt, for its beauties and its sorrows do diminish with time. But, as vampires, we feel more deeply than humans could possibly imagine." Nik begins his speech. He gestures toward a group of waiters and waitresses to have them join them at the table, one for each guest. One of them walks over to me and I wait patiently for the beautiful blood to hurry up into the glass."Insatiable need, exquisite pain..." Nik then says and the servants finally slit their wrists with knives, filling the cups with blood for the vampires. I smile happily taking the glass of blood to my lips and drinking the wonderful blood."Our victories, and our defeats." Nik says looking at Marcel and I could tell Marcel was going through a memory. Nik raises his glass in a toas.

"To my city, my home again. May the blood never cease to flow..." He smirks and Marcel lifts up his glass.

"...and the party never end!" He says and I lift my glass up with a slight smirk.

"To New Orleans." Diego says lifting his glass.

"To New Orleans." Nik exclaims and everyone else says it. Hayley stands behind me ready to attack anyone who hurts me. Seeing as Nik told me to make her.

"I understand that some of you may have questions regarding the recent change in leadership, and I invited you here tonight to assure you that you are not defeated. No, my intentions moving forward are to celebrate what we have. What Marcel, in fact, took and built for this true community of vampires." Nik tells them and Diego starts to speak.

"What about her? [He points to me and Hayley at the far end of the table] The wolf." Diego asks him.

"Had you'd let me finish, Diego, you would know that there is, of course, one further matter I would like to address. [He walks over to the other end of the table where I sit] As many of you know, the girl is carrying my child and my fiance. Consequently, I trust you will all pay her the appropriate respect. However, I understand that some of you are concerned by this vicious rumor that I intend to use the blood of our child to create hybrids. I assure you I do not." Nik puts his hands on my shoulders.

"Father of the year." Hayley says sarcastically and I glare at her.

"It appears I will have to earn your trust. Very well. We'll eliminate the root of your anxiety. You see, how I can I sire any hybrids if there are no more werewolves alive in the Bayou to turn?" Nik says mildly irritated.

"What? Klaus, no!" Hayley exclaims and I look at Nik with a slight glare.

"So-- eat, drink, and be merry. And, tomorrow, I suggest you have yourselves a little wolf hunt. Go ahead, have fun. Kill them all!" Nik then says and we all eat but afterwords. I stand in Nik and I's room with my arms crossed waiting for him to get back. He walks in and looks at me with a slight frown.

"Yes love?" He asks me pouring himself a drink.

"Yes love? Really you are not killing any werewolves. My family is there." I growl and he sighs.

"Can we talk about this tomorrow?" He asks and I growl at him.

"No. Our baby is going to be born soon and if you kill them she will grow up without any family except us. Look at us, I don't want our baby to be like us. I want her to fall in love and have a partly normal life unlike what she actually has." I tell him and he nods pulling me in his arms.
