I sit on my bed thinking when I notice Nik in the doorway. Although he knows I know he is there he still stops and knocks. I roll my eyes at him before looking at him.

"You've proved quite resilient, little wolf. Fighters, both of you." Nik tells me walking in. I smile brightly at him and nod.

"I guess we've had to be. Especially lately." I say looking to him and he is speechless. I chuckle shaking my head at him.

"I've decided that I'm going to move back in." I tell him and he immediately softens.

"Well, I'm relieved to hear it." He says and I stand up.

"But no mouth-breathing bodyguards, no telling me what to do." I tell him and he smiles at me with a chuckle.

"All I ask is that the child is kept safe." Nik tells me and I begin to freak for a second.

"And what about me? What happens after she's born? If you try to take her away from me, I" I try to say before I am most rudely interrupted.

"Come with me, hmm?" He goes to head out of the door but stops once he notices I am not following him.

"Please. I want to show you something." He tells me and I reluctantly follow him out of the door. He takes me to another room opening the door. It had a crib, bassinet, and a beautiful mobile hanging from the ceiling. I look around in surprise.

"Believe it or not, Artemis, I would actually like you to be here. Our daughter should be raised by her parents, in her family home." He tells me and I touch the crystals hanging from the mobile before smiling at him lovingly.

"You, me, Elijah, and miracle-baby, all under one roof? Sounds like a bad reality show." I joke and he he chuckles nervously.

"Uh, you said you saw my father?" Nik asks and I shake my head looking at him.

"Why do you call him that? He's not your real dad." I ask him and he shakes his head.

"He's done damage only a father could do. What did he say to you?" He asks once again and I smile at him warmly latching my arms around his neck as his go around my waist.

"Nothing true." I tell him and he genuinely smiles before giving me a kiss on the cheek. He takes my arms off of him before leaving the room. I sigh looking at the wall, a picture hung, it was a painting of New Orleans that Nik had painted. It had a cityscape with a large full moon in the sky. I smile brightly at it before walking back to my room. I look around before changing and walking downstairs, not before noticing my little sister with a certain original. I smirk at the two and lay down on the couch watching some tv.

I stand impatiently beside Elijah with Hayley next to me. He calls Nik and he finally answers.

"Yes, brother, what is it?" I hear Nik ask on the other end.

"It appears our wolves have gone astray, brother." Elijah says and Hayley cuts in.

"They should have been back hours ago." Hayley says and Elijah interrupts her."We need to find them." Elijah tells him and Nik sighs on the other side.

"Well, that might be a bit tricky. You see, we've located their car on a back road in the middle of nowhere. I suspect they've been shanghai'd." Nik tells us and I shake my head.

"And you didn't feel the need to share this information?" Elijah asks and I sigh.

"It was my intention to present you with a problem only after I had found an appropriate solution." Nik comments and I groan in annoyance.

"Do enlighten us." Elijah exclaims annoyed also.

"I'm closing in on it as we speak. The only person who would be bold enough to snatch my wolf allies is the one who has the most to lose." Nik says and I gasp thinking about it.

"Marcel." Elijah says and I look at him.

"No, he'll kill them!" Hayley and I say in unison

"Genevieve assures me that Marcel has procured a cloaking spell. The only witch who will aid Marcel is Davina. I just need to get one last bit of leverage before I pay her a visit." Of course Genevieve. He hangs up and I growl in annoyance. Elijah looks at me and I sigh with a nod.

"Go on." I tell him and he smiles at me before speeding off. I shake my head looking at a bitch, I mean Genevieve. Elijah asked her to watch me because Hayley has to go talk to the wolves. I begin to walk towards the kitchen with Genevieve following me. I sigh in annoyance, I stand on my tiptoes trying to grab some cereal and she grabs it for me. I glare at her snatching the cereal from her grip. She sighs and I growl at her making myself a bowl of cereal.

"I know you asked to be here but I would rather you leave." I groan, she rolls her eyes.

"I know why you hate me. He picked me over you." Genevieve smirks and I growl at her walking passed her holding my bowl.

"Don't mess with me bitch." I tell her and sit down on the couch. I turn on the tv but it soon turns off by the bitch herself.

"You are lucky you are pregnant." She threatens and I stand up glaring at her.

"You know what, I need to call someone." I say and put the last bite of food in my mouth before walking to the kitchen once again. I ignore her and grab my phone calling the one person I need to talk to, Dean.

"Hey Dean." I say into the phone as he answers, I glare at Genevieve as she watches me.

"Hey Artemis." His voice says and I hear Sam in the background yelling. "Bitch." He calls his brother. "You're on speaker now."

"Okay, have you talked to Apollo?" I ask him and he sighs on the other end.

"I'm sorry Artemis, but he died a week ago." Sam tells me and I feel my eyes begin to tear up.

"How?" I ask them and they don't answer for a moment.

"It was a vampire." Dean breaks it to me and I shake my head. I click the end button and look at Genevieve as I put down the phone.

"I am going to my room." I tell her and she nods with a sorry look on her face. I roll my eyes and walk to my room.
