Werewolves

The next morning Nik was talking with Cami and Marcel upstairs so I took that as my chance. I walk alone down the stairs toward the side door of the compound as I try to sneak out into the French Quarter to save my family. I look around to see if i'm being watched, but before I can go anywhere, Diego cuts in front of me. I roll my eyes.

"Going somewhere?" Diego asks but suddenly Hayley appears breaking his neck and throwing him into the wall. Soon after her Elijah appears.

"Elijah, you shouldn't be here. Klaus has his guys watching Artemis and I." Hayley tells him and he shrugs.

"I wouldn't worry about them." Elijah says and a moment later Rebekah comes in kicking down two vampires who were hiding.

"Come, we mustn't linger. We'll get you some place safe." Elijah tells us and I shake my head.

"No, you don't have to worry about me. I'm fine. I've been deemed under protection by the almighty Nik. It's the werewolves who need help. He ordered a wolf hunt as some jacked-up peace offering to Marcel's crew. You have to help them." I tell him getting closer to him.

"Out in the Bayou? Do we look like a bloody vampire-rescue-squad? I think you should be grateful we came to save you!" Rebekah glares and I smirk.

"Listen. Rebekah. All our life, we've wanted to know who our real family was, and just as we find out that they're out there in the Bayou, Klaus orders them killed. You wanna help us? Help our people. Please." Hayley tries to get them on our side seeing as she is better at it then me. Hayley stays back to keep them thinking I was there as Elijah, Rebekah and I go to the Bayou. The vampires he sent are there with Diego leading.

"Hey, they're obviously here. Fan out, find 'em, and bring me some heads!" Diego orders them and we appear a couple of meters away from him.

"I'd rather you didn't." I tell him.

"The hell are you doing out here?" He asks me.

"I've come to suggest you seek other hunting grounds." Elijah answers for me.

"Suggestion noted..." Diego shrugs and tries to move past us. Rebekah approaches him.

"Oh Diego, it would be such a shame to have to rearrange that pretty face." Rebekah says with a smirk and goes to punch him but he catches her arm.

"What the hell do you care about wolves?" Diego asks and Elijah answers him.

"Generally, I don't. However, this particular clan is not to be touched. [He pauses a beat and smiles fakely] Goodbye." Elijah says and Rebekah smiles sweetly along with me.

"Bye." Rebekah whispers.

"Nothing here anyway." Diego tells the vampires. He whistles and they all leave.

"Ah, great. I think as well our job here is done." Rebekah says.

"Not quite." I say sensing someone supernatural around us. I vamp-speed away and find a werewolf, who is standing by a tree, waiting for them. After a moment, Rebekah follows behind us.

"We're not here to harm you. Hello, again. Eve, was it?" Elijah asks.

"One of Hayley and Artemis' litter-mates, I presume?" Rebekah asks and I shrug.

"Hayley sent you here to protect us, didn't she? Tell her we appreciate the concern, but we've been looking out for ourselves for a while now. Nobody finds us unless we wanna be found." Eve tells us.

"Well, we found you, so..." Rebekah says with a smirk. Eve gives her a look and I smirk.

"Like I said. There's something I thought you and your family should know about." She says. Eve starts walking along the path with a stake and a map in her hands and leads the way for us.We stop at a lake where Eve is pointing out sites on her map with her stake.
