An odd sense of silence filled the landscape. What was a battlefield not a few moments ago had slowly died down into an odd, empty lot. As it turned out, everything had just been a huge misunderstanding. In a sense, it almost felt anticlimactic.
"So, what do you make of all this?" Gamma 1 broke the silence, turning to his twin brother.
"Dunno." was the superhero's quick response. "But the situation is not what we thought it was..."
Watching the conversation from below, Gohan turned to face upwards, as a small aircraft appeared from the horizon, landing nearby the Androids. The shutter door opened, revealing the driver, Bulma.
"Okay!" she called aloud, as Goten, Trunks, 18, and Krillin exited the aircraft, with her following behind. "I gathered the mightiest warriors on Earth... and Krillin's here, too!"
Krillin groaned in frustration. "Jeez, that was brutal. I have superhuman strength, you know! All the boys down at the station think I'm tough!"
Running over to him, Goten's eyes lit up in excitement. "Woah! This must be a pretty big deal. Even Gohan is jumping into the fight!"
"No way!" Gohan replied, happy to see his brother, all the same. "Goten? Hey Trunks!"
While Bulma greeted Pan, 18 turned to Gohan, before glaring at Gamma 1 and 2.
"Those two over there. Are they the new Androids?"
"Yep." Piccolo answered for him.
"Woah, they're kind of cool." Trunks remarked.
Piccolo squinted slightly at the half-saiyan, then to Goten, not quite recognizing the boys.
"They look familiar... Wait, is that-?"
Pan, however, was excited to confirm. "That one is Trunks, and that one is Goten!"
While the party continued their conversation and the Gamma's their own, none were any the wiser of the true terror that was unfolding. That deep within the laboratories of Red Pharmaceuticals a large webbed, spider egg-like structure had been activated by the soon-to-be-late Magenta, and that within this structure held a force so dangerous, even Dr. Hedo had feared it, putting it off to focus on his Gammas, whom he knew he could trust.
In a matter of seconds, a cloud of smoke exploded from the core of Red Pharmaceuticals, shaking the ground, the sheer pressure shattering all the remaining windows of the building behind them. Gohan and the others all turned to the explosion, with the first thing they saw being smaller aircraft zooming through the smoke. The machine malfunctioning, it quickly fell to the ground and landed not far away from them, revealing the pilot: Dr. Hedo. Despite his own safety, Dr. Hedo would immediately scurry out from the machine, running over to his Androids.
"G-G-Gamma 1, Gamma 2! They- They did it! They really did it-!" he shouted, stuttering over his own words, sounding absolutely terrified. "They- They activated- They- They activated-!"
Gohan and the others stared in shock, unsure how to react with everything happening all at once.
"What Dr. Hedo?" Gamma 1 replied, trying his best to calm down his creator. "What did they activate?"
Dr. Hedo's voice went calm, almost deathly calm, as everyone quickly felt hundreds of power levels from behind them.
"Everyone..."
As these power levels flew into the sky, Gohan felt his heart race like never before, as he squinted his eyes to better see the new enemy. It wasn't hard to make out, as this army had a set of faces he knew too well: Piccolo, Master Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and even Jaco. They seemed lifeless and greyscale, but they were still very clearly meant to be counterfeits of his friends.
