Lisa keeps walking back and forth in the recording booth, cursing again and again under her breath.

"Baby come on, just one more try," Jennie persuades her through the microphone from outside the booth, cheering her up with both fists in the air, "You can do it, I believe in you!"

Lisa stops on moving too much and nods, going for the mic, waiting for Teddy's signal to start singing again.

But her voice keeps cracking. The Happiest Girl is such an emotional ballad, and her vocals are tired from all the trying.

She needs a break.

"Are you okay?" Jennie walks up to her when she exited the booth in frustration after yet another failed day of recording this goddamn song.

"Can I rerecord some other songs first for the rest of the week?" Lisa asks Teddy.

"The whole week?" Jennie frowns. "Why not rest for today, then try your lines in this song again tomorrow? It's more critical because the other songs only need minimal rerecords."

Lisa looks at Teddy pleadingly, who sighed and nodded. "Maybe we should let her rest for the week, Jen."

That was the moment Jennie kept quiet, accepting defeat. Or so Lisa thought, until they were alone in Lisa's apartment again.

"Baby, you're talented, I know it. I know you can do this song. Hard To Love was a hard song which was intended for Rosie anyway, but this one? It's a Blackpink song that we can't pass on."

"I know, I'm not giving up on it..." Lisa leans back on her couch, her eyes closed, "I just need to rest please."

The Korean felt guilt seeing how tired her girlfriend looked, then sat down beside her with her arms wrapping on Lisa. "Okay. Of course you can rest, Lili."

"Thanks," Lisa sighs, leaning her head on Jennie's, eyes still closed.

Jennie's really just that supportive, which Lisa appreciates... but she doesn't feel that pressure even from Teddy. She knows her girlfriend is such a perfectionist though.

"Oh by the way, I scheduled a meeting with our family lawyer by Monday afternoon. Can you join, even if only virtually?" Jennie asks her sweetly, "Please, baby? Mom says she's the best when it comes to business matters and with our contract ending in less than two years... we should know all our options. I'll pull in Jisoo and Rosie if they want too."

Lisa opens her eyes, "They both don't want to start their own company, though?"

"It's still good to widen all our perspectives. Even if they want to join any existing company, I want all of us to know which things to watch out for in committing to anything."

The Thai stared at her girlfriend intently.

"When you talk all business, you look even more hot."

She earned a kiss from Jennie on the lips. "I'll send you the zoom meeting link next week, so make sure to listen to my hot shit. Alright?"

"Okay, baby. You really know how to convince me."

At that, the other girl smiled sweetly.

"Lis?"

"Yeah?"

"I was thinking about our anniversary date."

"You mean my birthday?" Lisa asks, "It was when we got back together. What about it?"

"No, I meant... something way earlier than that, like the day we first kissed. I've always remembered that date, which is exactly a month from now."

Doe eyes widened even more. "You remember that date?"
