_________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ Akshat and Vedant climbed the stairs together, having met at the entrance just moments ago. They were in the middle of a casual conversation when their steps slowed, noticing a familiar figure sitting on the stairs ahead.
Krishiv.
He sat hunched over, elbows resting on his knees, fingers interlocked, staring blankly ahead. His usually bright, carefree face was shadowed with something neither Akshat nor Vedant had seen before..unease.
"Yahan Devdas bana kyun baitha hai?" Vedant added, trying to lighten the mood, but his eyes held concern.
Krishiv suddenly cupped his face with both hands, exhaling sharply. That one action made both Akshat and Vedant exchange a quick glance before immediately sitting beside him, flanking him on either side.

Krishiv hesitated for just a second before shaking his head.
"Like her?" Akshat asked next.
Again, a shake of the head.
There was a moment of stunned silence before Vedant threw his hands up. "Are you kidding??"
"I'm serious. I want to marry her," Krishiv said, his voice firm.
Akshat let out a dry chuckle. "Tera dimaag thik hai? This is not a joke."
"I know," Krishiv murmured.
Akshat exhaled sharply. "Marriage is not a joke, Krishiv! Why would she agree to marry you when you don't even feel anything for her?"
Krishiv lifted his head, his gaze sharp. "When you married Amrit, did you feel anything for her? Nahi na? You also married her because of the situation. Please... ask her to marry me. She-"
