Jack's POV
"Miss Froggatt? We're ready for you now."
She stood up, grabbed my hand and we followed the doctor. We were at the hospital for kaitlyn's ultrasound.
She laid down on the bed as two nurses entered the room and the doctor left. One nurse, who's name tag said she was called Elaine, poured some weird blue jelly stuff onto Kay's stomach and then moved a little machine around over it. I was so out of my comfort zone and had no idea what was going on.
Suddenly, I heard a gasp and looked up. There was a small monochrome image on the monitor beside the bed.
"Is that?" I was lost for words.
"That's our baby, Jack!" Kaitlyn reached for my hand, a huge smile plastered on her face.
"Would you like to know the gender?" The other nurse, apparently called Rosa, smiled.
Kaitlyn looked up at me with huge, pleading eyes. I nodded down at her, "Yeah, I think so!"
"Okay..." The first nurse moved the scanner thingy around Kaitlyn's stomach a little longer, before turning towards us.
"So?" Kay looked terrified and ecstatic all at once.
"It's a girl! You're having a girl."
A small tear snaked its way down my cheek, "A baby girl?"
"Yes." Jamie whispered.
