-1 month later-

Jack's POV

"Okay, drinks." I pointed at Alex, Rian Zack and Kaitlyn in turn, "Beer, beer, beer and soda?"

I hobbled into the kitchen for the drinks. I'd been home from the hospital for a couple of weeks now, but I still needed weekly visits for more scans and tests. My break was strapped up in a little boot thing which meant I could walk on it for short periods of time, but I mostly used my crutches. The guys were over at my house for a little 'I'm sorry' party, to make up for the fact that we had to cancel the rest of the tour. But, honestly, it was quite nice having these Summer months at home.

I returned to the lounge and handed out the drinks, grabbing a slice of pizza from the coffee table as I did so.

"Sit with me?" Kaitlyn said, as I went to perch with Alex. I nodded and smiled, sitting down with her. She laid her head on my shoulder and we all settled to watch the TV.

We were sat for a while before the landline rang. Rian was the closest to the phone so he reached over.

"Barakat-Froggatt residence, Rian speaking." I cackled at his formality. He nodded and handed Kaitlyn the phone. "They want you." He whispered.

She took it and spoke with whoever it was for a moment. She sat bolt upright, her eyes widening. I gave her a puzzled look but she ignored it.

"No way, are you serious?" Jamie made a small squeal, "Thank you so much... Yes, of course... I'll let them know..." The conversation carried on for a few minutes before she hung up.

"That was the crew at Hopeless... We're getting signed!" She jumped up, screaming and hugging everyone. She jumped on my knee and I kissed her cheek.

She composed herself then spoke, "We obviously can't start any work until the baby's born, but I'm gonna carry on with band practice. But we should have an album out by next summer! A real, full album Jack! Not some crap that we've recorded ourselves and edited on laptops!" She squealed again, and I laughed at her.

"I'm so fucking proud, Kay!" Zack said, walking over and hugging her. She pulled out her phone and rang Sam, Joe, Taylor and Ben in turn.

I sighed a little. We still hadn't spoken about life after the pregnancy. Me and the guys were still writing and playing new songs, and Jamie and her band were still practicing about once a week. But how could we tour with a kid in the picture? I made a mental note to talk to her about it when the guys left.

Kaitlyn's POV

"How about a nice bubble bath?" Jack asked, rubbing my leg.

"Nah, I'm too hyped up!" I was still ecstatic over the earlier news of getting signed.

We were laid out on the grass in the back yard, all the boys had left a couple of hours ago.

"We need to talk, Kaitlyn. We have to know what we're gonna do when this baby is born!" I sighed.

"I know... I've been thinking, what if we carry on as normal?"

"We can't just drag a child to sweaty shows and say 'Hey, just hang out here with this strange man you've never met whilst we perform!' " He looked irritated. I rolled over on the ground to face him a laid a hand on his chest.

"I don't mean that. We can figure this out okay? We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, yeah?" He nodded.

"Oh, is anyone coming with us for the scan tomorrow?" He was referring to my hospital appointment for the 3 month mark.

"No one on my side, you?"

"Cass did want to come but I told her no. It's the fist ultrasound and I wanted it to be just us two. Is that okay?"

I nodded. That was for the best.

"How's your head feeling?" I stroked his temples.

"It's been fine these past few days. No headaches or pain, thank god! How's my little one?"

"The baby's doing great, I think. The doctor said that it should start kicking in about two months but-"

"I meant you, Kaitlyn!" He said, planting a kiss on my lips.

"You cheesy motherfucker!" I laughed. I shivered, getting me a worried look from Jack.

"Cold?"

"Mhm."

"Come on then." He pulled himself up and held out a hand, "Let's go inside."

"But Jaaacckk!" I mimicked a whining child, "I don't want to!"

"Kaaaaaiitlyn!" He mocked me and laughed, "You've got to stay warm! Now let's go." I stood up and held his arm. He stumbled a little on his leg, before picking up his crutches.

"You good?" He nodded and we headed inside.

We went inside and I quickly snapped a photo of Jack on his crutches.

"Hey!" He laughed.

"Sorry, but you might only break this ankle once. Gotta preserve the memory." I winked.

We headed upstairs and into bed. I looked over at Jack after a few minutes- he was fast out. I sighed, smiling.

I patted my stomach. The bump still wasn't too visible yet- it just looked like I was fat, which I hated.

I grabbed my phone from the beside table and opened Twitter.

@ReboundKaitlyn: @JackAllTimeLow has fallen asleep on me! :( So I want y'all to tweet him really embarrassing photos! #revenge

I giggled quietly at my immaturity. He'd do the same to me! I went to switch off my phone just as I got a text from Joe.

Come outside I need your advice!

I'm in bed! Can't you tell me over text?

No! Come outside!

Fine 1 sec

I grabbed one of Jack's hoodies and slipped it on over my baggy tank top and shorts. I quietly headed out to the driveway.

"Why the fuck did you get me up? It's freezing!" I called over at my friend, who was stood leaning against his car. He walked over to me, pulling something out of his pocket.

"Because I need your advice."

"With?"

He handed me a small box, which I opened.

"What do you think of this ring?"
