"AS IT IS! AS IT IS!"

I was on cloud nine. Alex had managed to pull a few strings and get me and Sam into an As It Is gig with backstage privileges, just days before the show. And here we were.

"Why should I stick around, when all I do is let you down?" The pitch black stage flashed with lights as Speak Soft began.

Me and Sam bounced amongst sweaty teenagers, singing at the top of our lungs.

The song came to a close and everyone screamed with cheers.

"Sup dudes!" Patty Walters shouted. This was surreal.

"We have something very important to do before anything else happens." Ben Biss smiled.

"That we do! We have a couple friends here to join us..." The stage was darkened and the crowd hushed.

A song intro started, but it wasn't an As It Is one. I recognised it immediately as Emma Blackery's Go The Distance- one of my favourite songs. Then the singing started. I was expecting Patty's voice, but was instead greeted by Emma Blackery herself, up there on stage as a spotlight shone down.

"What the fuck is going on?" I said in Sam's ear.

"I do not know, but it's cool." I noticed he was filming the entire thing on his phone.

The song played through, before the final chorus began. Another spotlight crawled from the side of the stage, containing none other than my boyfriend. He stood with Emma as she finished the song. Screams filled the room. Tears started to drop down my cheeks, and Emma spoke.

"This guy right here, has something very important to say." Again, the crowd hushed.

"Can I please find my girlfriend in this crowd?" Jack smiled as a spotlight blinded me.

The crowd slowly parted and made a pathway up to the stage. Sam nudged me forward, smiling encouragingly.

"Come with me." I whispered.

We walked up to the barrier, and security let us through. Sam stopped at the bottoms of the stage steps and gently pushed me forward.

"Go!" He smiled.

Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me into his arms. I couldn't believe I was crying on stage with one of my favourite bands, youtubers and boyfriend in front of all those people- crying, nonetheless.

"Kaitlyn, I love you more than anything-" the crowd screamed, "and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I know we said we wouldn't rush into this, but I really hope you've changed your mind or I've just embarrassed the shit out of myself."

I laughed, so did the crowd.

Jack pulled out a ring and knelt down, "Will you please do me the honour of becoming my wife?"

More screams. I was in hysterics. I looked around. Patty, Ben and the rest of the band smiled encouragingly, Emma was sobbing and Sam was still filming me.

I took the microphone from Jack, "Of course I fucking will, you big dork!"

Jack slid the ring onto my finger and spun me around- the crowd screamed insanely.

"How did you do this?" I laughed through tears.

"I know a lot of important people." He smiled and kissed me.

He took the mic, "Sorry for the intrusion, folks. Enjoy the rest of your show!" Me and Jack joined Sam, and watched the rest of the show from the steps.
