I leant against the kitchen counter, stirring the cup of coffee in my hand. I heard footsteps coming down the hall towards me. A slim woman, not much taller than me, came skipping into the kitchen. She had gorgeous blonde hair, down to her chest, and big blue eyes. She wore black denim shorts and a pale blue chiffon top. She carried a pair of black platform heels over her shoulder.
"Oh, hello!" She came over to me and held out a perfectly manicured hand, "I'm Lily!"
"Kaitlyn." I said, nodding and shaking her hand, "Um... Which guy?"
"Excuse me?"
"What was the name of the guy you stayed with last night?"
"Sam, I think his name was- why?" She cocked her head to one side like a confused little puppy.
"Just wondering..."
"Oh. Well, I'd better be off! Mind if I take this for the road?" Lily grabbed a bread roll from the basket by the fridge, and left before I could answer.
I picked up my camera from the counter where I'd left it last night, and flicked through the photos. Jack's house, the dress, the club, Jack and Alex, the roof. And a couple of crappy blurry photos. I kept flicking until I came across a mystery photo of Lily and some other girl she must've been with last night.
"Bitch took my camera without me noticing!" I scoffed.
Not too long after, Sam came trudging in. He was wearing nothing but pyjama bottoms, and was stretching his arms above his head.
"So, you definitely benefited from the party!"
He laughed, "Yeah, I guess."
"Well, I won't bother you- just please can you put a shirt on? Cause I really don't need to see all... This." I gestured towards his bare stomach.
He shrugged and walked over to the freshly made pot of coffee. He sipped it absentmindedly.
"So that's 1 down, 2 to go." I broke the silence.
"Hm?"
"Who got laid out of the band last night." I laughed.
"Wait, only 1?" He questioned, "So nothin' happened between you and Barakat?" He smirked at me.
"No, actually. We just... Talked." I lied. I didn't tell him about the kiss because I wanted to be sure that it wasn't just a drunken move- as we'd both had a few beers.
He nodded, "Right. Well, I'm off to freshen up- then practice!"

Joe arrived just after me and Sam. We all sat in the little room, tuning instruments and turning on amps.
"Wait, where's Ben?" I looked around, realising we were short one member.
"I'm right here!" He strolled into the studio, whistling quietly.
"Late, as per usual!" I winked to let him know I was joking. I pointed at Joe, "So I'm presuming that you spent the night with Sarah..." He nodded. I gestured towards Sam, "He certainly had fun... So Ben, what about you?"
"Well that's a bit weird Kaitlyn... But if you must know, I did meet someone. Her name is Becca, and she's amazing!" He smiled, genuinely.
"Great. So, I'm the only one who didn't get laid last night?" They all laughed and nodded.
"Wait..." Ben broke in, "What about you and Mr Bigshot?"
"You mean Jack?"
He winked, "That's what I said!"
"Nothing happened. We went to the roof cause my head was killing me, and we just chatted about ourselves, our pasts and the bands." The more I lied about last night, the easier it got. He nodded and we started practising.
After a few minutes, my phone started ringing.
"Hello?"
"Kaitlyn?"
"Yeah..."
"Hey, it's Alex! What are you all up to today?"
"Oh hey! Um, we were just gonna practise for a few hours, then I was gonna go to the mall- why?"
"How quickly can you get everyone down to my house?"
