As Sam was helping Gabriel with the stitches over his mouth, Dean was tending to his wife in their medical ward.

There had been a great deal of silence for about three hours now. Not like Jessica had been counting or anything.

"You've been quiet." Jessica said as she watched Dean stitch up a wound on her left leg.

The man sighed.

"You disappeared for three years, Jessica. I don't really have much to say."

"Are you not at least happy to see me alive?"

Dean avoided her eyes.

"Dean? What have I done to deserve this?"

This caused him to look at her now.

"You disappeared on us. You left us. We were your family!"

Jessica flinched at his sudden burst of anger.

"Dean I—"

"I thought you were dead. For real, this time. I thought I had lost you. And the only way I could see you was the news. Talks of a woman in burning buildings. Killing people. Tell me that wasn't you."

"Dean—"

"Tell me!"

Tears spilled from Jessica's eyes now. Her memory hadn't all come back to her yet, but she had managed to remember some things her and Melissa had done.

She did in fact remeber siding with Melissa. Why she had done so was to go according to her plan made in heaven with John. But after her little meet and greet with her sinister side, she had no memory of how she had ended up with Asmodeus in the first place.

The only thing she remembered was that she was always by Melissa's side. Watching the flames kiss her skin as the smell of rotting flesh touched her nose.

All those times she was there.

And all those times, she had a smile on her face.

Jessica began to sob. The realization of watching Melissa hurt all those people, yet never doing anything about it broke her.

How could she have done such a thing? How could she have watched all those people die and not lift a finger?

"I-I don't know Dean!" Jessica said through sobs. "All I know is that when I'm close to Melissa I get this malicious intent to hurt people. To watch them suffer."

"What are you trying to tell me?" Dean had tears in his eyes now. Not daring to spill them even if he wanted to.

"There are dreams I have. Those dreams I've told you about, the ends of your own life as well as Sam's. How I've helped Melissa end the world. How I've just been seemingly helping her. How I'm always by her side."

Dean was clenching his fists now.

"Maybe I did all those fires with her. Maybe I've killed all those people but I'm not certain. All I know is that I was always by her side when she did so. Not an ounce of me trying to stop her." Jessica shook her head and scoffed. "And you know what the sickest part of it all was? I enjoyed it. The flames. The screams. Everything."

Dean looked away from Jessica and let his own tears fall. Shaking his head in the process.

"She has to be stopped. And so do I."

Dean went back to looking at his wife again. His eyes slightly wide.

"I am the puppet, and Melissa is my master. Who's to say when we end her, if we end her, I won't become her? What if it is my destiny to see this world end? What if that prophecy is all wrong? A lie even? What then?"
