As the two arrived back at the bunker, they began to hear what sounded like fighting.
Then, there was silence.
"Jess?" Dean looked up towards his wife. "Where did you go?"
"That doesn't matter now. What matters is..."
As she began to descend the steps, her heart stopped. Anger rose up in her chest as she stared down an unconscious yet familiar man.
"What is he doing here?" Jessica seethed with rage as she stared at none other than Lucifer himself.
"He's going to help us keep this rift open as long as we need it to be." Gabriel said as he stepped forward.
"Dean." Sam pointed his brother's attention towards the other man standing behind Jessica.
"You!"
"It's alright Dean," Jessica stepped in front of Charlie now. "It's alright."
"How can you be so sure? He's killed innocent children!"
"Relax. He's here to make up for what he's done and help us with defeating Melissa."
"Mmm, Melissa." Lucifer smiled. Everyone faced him now. "That isn't a name I've heard in awhile. Tell me, does she talk about me still?"
"Silence." Castiel spat.
Lucifer chuckled. "She must be very close. Tell me, where is she nowadays?"
"What's it to you?" Jessica walked towards him. "By the time we're done in there and come back. You'll be dead and so will Melissa."
"And how's that, Jessy?"
This time, Sam stepped forward.
"We're draining you. Slowly, but surely. And while that's keeping our rift open for an extended time, you'll be here, becoming weaker and weaker."
As Sam continued his speech with the devil, Gabriel handed Jessica something behind her back.
"Thank you." She whispered.
"Anytime, sis." Gabriel winked.
As Sam had finished his heroic speech, Rowena looked at all of them and nodded.
"Go, I'll keep an eye on him as well as the rift."
Everyone nodded and grabbed their bags. Cas and Dean were first to go through. Then Jessica and Sam.
Charlie stayed behind to help Rowena keep the portal open as well as a second pair of eyes on Lucifer.
As they all walked through, everything had gone from bright and hopeful to now dark and dreadful.
The sky was covered in dark grey clouds as if it were hiding itself from the chaos going on down below.
A gust of wind blew towards Jessicas direction and sent a chill down her spine.
All around her snow laid like a blanket on the ground. Covering everything that it could.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"Kentucky" Castiel stated. "We need to be getting to Dayton."
Everyone nodded their heads and headed towards the direction they needed to go.
As the walking continued on for hours, Dean kept burning a hole into the back of Jessica's head.
The huntress felt him staring at her and looked back at him.
"What?" She asked.
"You didn't let me finish my explanation and apologize back there."
Jessica rolled her eyes.
