It was dark. Quiet. Sweetly quiet.

Jessica's body was lying just five inches away from Sam's. Both of their eyes glazed over and staring blankly. Never truly looking at anything.

Suddenly, Jessica sucked in a breath and sat up. She coughed and gagged as she tasted some of the leftover dirt in her mouth from when she fell on the ground.

Her hands flew to her chest where her heart was and she sighed with relief.

"Maybe it was just a dream?" She thought.

It wasn't until she saw a familiar, hateful face that she almost wished it was a dream.

"No."

"Yeah." Lucifer smiled.

Jessica put her back against the wall. Her eyes trailed over towards Sam's lifeless body.

"Long time no see huh?" Lucifer smiled.

"The hell are you doing here?! How did you—"

"Long story short I broke free of your little spell ol' red had on me and was flung in here." He kept the same smile on his lips as he lightly rubbed a small spiderweb in between his pointer finger and thumb. "Surprise!"

"What did you do to Charlie and Rowena?" Jessica said carefully. She didn't know if mentioning any of their names would send him into a rage. They were the ones to watch over him after all.

"They're fine. Don't worry. Rowena threw me in here before I could get my hands on her neck again."

"Why me then?" She asked as she put her hand to her chest. "Why not Sam? He is your vessel after all."

Lucifer left the spider web alone now. His left eyebrow quipped up in curiosity.

"You're asking why I brought you back?" He chuckled now and pointed a finger towards Jessica.

"If I wasn't mistaken you seem as if you didn't want to be brought back."

Jessica clenched her fist. She had a gut feeling as to why he brought her back now.

"You're very... valuable." Lucifer made a move to walk closer but stopped when Jessica reached for something behind her back.

He then snickered as her eyes widened.

"Looking for something?"

"Where is it!" Jessica said in a voice that was not her own.

"Whoa!" Lucifer flinched back slightly. Half surprised by her reaction and half satisfied.

"I have an offer for you, Jessica. And I want you to hear me out."

"I refuse." Jessica said through gritted teeth.

"You haven't even heard my punch line yet."

"Anything that comes out of your mouth is a refusal from me."

"Even if it means I bring Sammy back?"

Jessica opened her mouth to protest but shut it. Her eyes traveled back down to his lifeless body again.

Tears threatened to spill out of her eyes. The weight of just those words were sending her into a spiral of thoughts.

Sam had felt like her very own brother. Hell, she had even entrusted him with so many things that Dean didn't even know about yet. Though she planned to tell him everything when the time was right.

Sam and Jessica had grown close over the years they had been traveling together. So many memories wrapped around her skull that it felt crushing to remember. She had always called him her family and would do anything to protect him.

She'd even die for him if it came down to it. She'd die for anyone she cared about.

"What is it that you want." Jessica said in defeat.

"I thought you'd never ask."

Lucifer handed Jessica her back pack, flashlight and machete. Then he walked closer to her and placed both hands on her shoulders.

"When I give you the signal, I want you to drop anything you're doing and betray the Winchesters."

"Wh-what? I can't do that. I won't!"

"Ah ah. Now Jess—"

"You don't get to call me that!" She spat into his eyes.

Lucifer reeled back and grunted in disgust and anger.

"Listen, it's either you stay in here, and as soon as I snap my fingers those things come running in here, tearing you to shreds again as I watch. Or you can accept what I have to offer and be the obedient little dog that you are and follow my orders."

Jessica spun around and shown her light into the entry way.

Outside the small room where they had been, was a large group of vampires clawing and screeching for their pray to come back to them.

"I'm the one holding them back."

"Why?"

"Because I know what this is." Lucifer pulled out her golden spear and wiggled it in front of her eyes. "I know why you have it. And if you want it back you'll serve me and do as you're told."

"You'll never give it back. I know why you took it. She speaks to you doesn't she?"

Lucifer sighed. Then smiled.

"Like a little bird singing sweetly in my ears. She's told me a plan she has for you and would like you to have a front row seat to her opening act."

Tears streamed down Jessica's face now. This couldn't be how her plan ended. She was supposed to be the hero in this story. Not the villain.

But in the end. She had always seen this coming. She had visions of the world ending in flames and ash. Had even seen herself end a few of the hunters as she smiled. This included Sam and Dean.

"C'mon, it's not gonna be that bad. Lighten up."

Her fists clenched. Jessica wanted nothing more than to end Lucifer right here and now. But Sam's life was in his hands and she knew Dean would be happy to see him again.

"Fine. I accept. Just bring him back." Her body slumped as she felt a new weight added to her shoulders. Depression snaking its way through to her mind as darkness took hold.

"Good girl." Lucifer snapped his fingers and Sam shot up. Sucking in a breath just as Jessica had.

"Sammy." Jessica ran to his side and helped him stand.

"Jess? How are we—" he turned around a saw Lucifer. His face showing fear as he stared at the smiling devil.

"Hi Sammy. I've got a little thing I want to ask of you as well."

Jessica and Sam looked at each other and knew they were in deep now.
