"Took you long enough."

Melissa's hands tightened into fists. For a second, Jessica was confused as to what she might do, but then cried out in pain.

The dark tendrils she had pushed down earlier had now made their way back towards her neck.

The angel fell to her knees and clawed at her skin.

"Jess!" Dean stepped forward only to be then pulled back by a demon.

The group had been split up. Castiel, Sam and Dean now pushed back to the entrance fighting to get back to the front lines. Meanwhile, Jack was trying to figure out a way to help Jessica fight the darkness.

"You can't escape me, little angel. We're bonded. Always have been, always will be."

Jessica stared daggers into Melissa's eyes. Her skin heating up only for it to cool down. She couldn't let the darkness take control. Who knew what would happen if she did so.

As she lay there struggling, the floor beneath her feet began to change.

The whole scene had taken a new shape.

Instead of being in the cathedral, Jessica now lay in the bunker.

"W-what is this?" She breathed.

Sam and Jack came from the library into the war room. The two conversing about Star Wars and facts. Castiel watched the two in confusion and began to ask questions about the so called Jedi.

Jessica slowly stood. Her spear now next to her side in case anything decided to jump at her.

Dean smiled at her and chuckled. Holding a hand out towards her. "Jess, come on. Relax. You're home now. Stay and unwind."

Jessica didn't understand. Why was this—

"Let me in, Jessica." Mellisa now stood right next to Dean. Everything seemed to be paused just so the two could talk.

Jessica held her spear towards Melissa.

"Why should I? You have any idea what you've done to me? To the poor innocent souls of this planet?!"

Melissa sighed. "You don't have to die," she said softly. "Let me stay. I'll protect them." She motioned towards her family in the bunker. "I'll protect them through you."

Jessica shook her head. "No. No, you'll control them."

"I'll save them." Melissa replied.

This time, Dean stepped forward. His hands grabbing Jessica's.

"Please," He begged. "Stay."

Her breath hitched.

She wanted to stay. God she wanted to.

Then, Jessica noticed... Dean's eyes held no soul in them.

No spark.

No fire.

Not him.

"Get out of my head!" Jessica yelled.

Reality shattered.

The cathedral slammed back into place.

Melissa was in front of Jessica now. Blade raised to make yet another mark.

Jessica blocked the blow. Metal clashing and sparks flying.

Over and over, blow after blow the two fought.

Jessica felling the darkness crawl its way up only to push it back down with her light.

"You're slowing." Melissa smiled as she circled her prey. "Thinking too much."
