Emma
My heart hammered in my chest as Justin pulled me in for the kiss. This wasn't like our kisses before—those had been soft, full of warmth and familiarity. This was raw, desperate, filled with all the hurt and longing we had bottled up for too long. I kissed him back just as eagerly, my fingers threading into his damp hair, tugging him closer as if I could melt into him completely.
Justin's hands dropped from my face, sliding down my sides before gripping beneath my thighs. In one swift motion, he lifted me, and I instinctively wrapped my legs around his waist, gasping against his lips at how effortlessly he carried me. He held me as if I weighed nothing, as if there was nowhere else I belonged but against him. Without breaking the kiss, he carried me back into the house, kicking the door shut behind us. The storm outside raged on, the lights inside flickering as the power struggled against the elements, the erratic bursts of light mimicking the way her emotions swirled inside her. A loud thunder broke our haze. We both breathed hard.
Justin didn't hesitate this time. He took the first step again, pressing his mouth to mine again, more forceful now, his body pushing into mine as he backed me against the wall by the staircase. The impact sent a shiver down my spine, but I didn't care—I welcomed the intensity, craved it. He grunted softly as he deepened the kiss, his hands gripping me tighter. When he pulled back just enough to whisper, his breath warm against my lips, "Do you want to go upstairs?"
I barely nodded, my voice betraying my ability to form words. He didn't wait for more of an answer. With me still wrapped around him, he carried me up the stairs, his grip strong and unwavering. I held onto him, my arms around his shoulders, my lips brushing against his jawline as he moved swiftly toward his room. The door shut with a quiet click behind us, sealing us off from the rest of the world.
He didn't set me down right away. Instead, he turned, pressing my back against the door, his forehead resting against mine for a moment as our breaths mingled. His fingers traced down my sides before he finally lowered me onto the bed, hovering above me. My fingers trailed down his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath his soaked shirt. I exhaled shakily, tilting my head back as Justin's lips found my neck, pressing slow, open-mouthed kisses along my skin.
"Tell me to stop if you want me to," he murmured against my throat, his voice low and strained, as if he was holding himself back.
My fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer. "I don't want you to stop."
That was all he needed. He kissed me again, slower this time but no less intense, his hands mapping out familiar territory, relearning my body as if I was something sacred. I sighed into his mouth, my hands moving to push his wet shirt up, my fingertips grazing the warm skin beneath. Justin sat up just enough to strip it off, tossing it aside before his hands found the hem of my damp T-shirt. He hesitated, searching her face for any sign of doubt, but I'm sure all he saw was the same longing that burned within him.
I lifted my arms, silently giving him permission, and he pulled the fabric over my head, discarding it with the same urgency. The dim, flickering light cast shadows over his face, highlighting the way his gaze darkened as he took me in. His fingers skimmed along my sides, his touch both reverent and possessive, as if he couldn't believe I was here, beneath him, like this again.
"Emma..." he breathed, my name a whispered confession on his lips.
I pulled him back down to me, sealing the space between them, letting their bodies speak where words had failed us for too long.
His hands traced slow patterns down my back, pressing me closer, until there was nothing between us but heat and longing. His lips found mine again, softer this time, as if savoring every second, committing me to memory. The storm outside echoed their storm within, thunder rumbling in the distance as rain pattered against the window.
