A/N: ahhh yes, it is time for me to do sky guy! Aka Anakin Skywalker, now this is someone I am very excited to do! I've watched the prequel trilogy, so obviously I fell in love with him ( move over Padame). I haven't fallen off the face of the earth as I often do lol, I'm here to write this fic for you!! This is a pre-dark side Anakin, pre-Revenge of the Sith! Yes Ahsoka will be in it sue me! So do with that what you will!! I'm happy to share this with you, even if I don't have the characters down pat as well as many others! With that said, happy reading -nico *******************************************

Waking up is never one's favorite task, especially if your name is Anakin Skywalker. Now you see, Obi-Wan and Anakin had just returned to the Jedi temple from a recent expedition that had taken them to a completely different system and had left them both battered and bruised. Well, it had left Anakin a little more than that. He had left that planet feeling odd, but nothing that would need a cause for concern. This morning should have been no different for Anakin, but it somehow was.
Obi-Wan had noticed that something was bothering his former padawan from the moment they got home and throughout the night, thank the force they still had living corders together so he could ask him when Anakin got up. Starting to get impatient, Obi-Wan walked over to his bedroom door, knocking softly but making his presence known, " Anakin, you really should be getting up. It's already past lunch, and you need to go train Ahsoka," Obi-Wan reminded him while opening his curtains. "Mhm, I'll do it tomorrow.... Lemme sleep." Anakin mumbled trying to bury himself deeper into his covers to try and block out the sun that was now shining in his face.
"Anakin, we've talked about this! You're a master now, you can't work on your schedule anymore, even if you weren't supposed to as a padawan either." Obi-Wan scolded the now lump that was Anakin, "Mmm later, m'tired lemme sleep." Anakin mumbled again slightly poking his head out of the cave he had made out of blankets, "Anakin this is quite childish even for you! Now get up!" Obi-Wan chided, going to uncover his former padawan. Once Anakin was fully uncovered, did Obi-Wan notice the pallor of his skin, with the only color being his fever-flushed cheeks. " Anakin, what happened? Are you alright?" Obi-Wan asked, walking over and putting his hand on Anakin's forehead, feeling him burning up. Very concerned now as a small whimper left Anakin's mouth as Obi-Wan called Ahsoka to come to their room and that Anakin wouldn't be training today, "master, what's wrong with him?" she asked once she walked into the room and saw the state he was in.
Hearing her voice, Anakin immediately tried to sit up, " Hey Snips," he said weakly, trying to give her the 'I'm fine' facade, which worked for a minute until he broke off into hacking coughs that left him breathless and shaking. " yeah we both know that's not true sky guy, I mean look at you!" ahsoka teased trying to settle some of her nerves, it was a coping mechinizum and they all knew it. " well I'll go and fetch some medicen, food, water and anything else we may need for the night." Obi-Wan excused himself. Leaving Anakin and Ahsoka in his room, " When were you going to tell me, Anakin, I mean you're more than just my master, you're like a brother to me, so how can I worry about you if you don't tell me these things?" Ahsoka all but yelled at the sick Jedi knight, sitting up and closing his eyes as the world spun, making him even more nauseous than he had been, he spoke. " it's not your job to worry about me, I'm fine it's probably some small cold or something so you don't have to worry. " anakin said trying to reasure her but was starting to feel worse by the minute and he was sure it was showing.
By the time night fell, Anakin was getting worse by the minute. Obi-Wan had been changing the cloth on his forehead every other minute, but his fever just burned right through it, any medicine he took just came right back up, and he couldn't get comfortable. Once Anakin finally fell asleep, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan gathered in the living area, trying to get little sleep while they still could. " I'm worried about him, Obi-Wan, I mean, I've never seen him like this!" Ahsoka exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. Suddenly, the objects in the room started to float up in the air, startling both of the Jedi. Running to Anakin's room, they find him tossing and turning in the middle of a fever nightmare from which he couldn't wake up, " Ahsoka, go get several ice packs. I'll try and wake him," Obi-Wan instructed as he ducked under a floating object.
" Ani, Anakin, wake up! It's just a dream, nothing you see is real! c'mon it's okay, there you go nice and easy." Obi-Wan soothed, sending calming energy through his and Anakin's bond. All the objects clattered to the floor as Anakin woke up from his fever-induced sleep. Once fully awake, all the aches and pains came back at full force, causing him to let out a cry of pain, " master, I'm back and got what you needed." Ahsoka, we need to take him to the halls of healing. We can't help him with just the two of us; anything we give him just comes back up." Obi-Wan ordered the scared young padawan in front of him, he had been in this position many times when Anakin was much younger, and thought that because he joined later meant he had to work him self way to hard to prove himself. Once in the halls of healing, Anakin was immediately whisked away by doctors and medical droids who were doing various tests to see what the young Skywalker had. Turns out the planet that he and Obi-Wan had done a solo mission to had made him sick. " Sky Guy, you're awake! Thank force you're alright. I was so worried," came Ahsoka's voice as the first thing he heard
"Hey, Snips, I told you I'd be fine. No need to worry your little head," Anakin retorted, horsley, making Ahsoka laugh a bit at the same time. Obi-Wan cleared his throat, making Anakin look in his direction. " You had us worried sick, Anakin, you couldn't keep anything down, not even medicine. We had to bring you to the halls of healing so you could get proper rest and fluids via IV. You were in so much pain, it was very hard to watch." Obi-Wan stressed making sure his former padawan got the point of how scary it was, " I'm sorry, master, I didn't mean to cause any panic, truly I didn't know, I was just very tired and then all of a souden I didn't want to get up." he explained to the two other jedi. A few days later, he was allowed to go back to his and Obi-Wan's shared living and rest until Padme came home, and he had to recap everything with some side comments from Ahsoka. ******************************************* r so I hope you guys enjoyed this one!!
