A/N: Okay, guys, here's the deal. I haven't been in a creative/ writing mood, and I guess you could say that my depression is acting up again or smth, but I recently rented this movie and I have to say I loved it! The film itself deals with real-life issues, and just in general is a good movie. Hayden Christensen is in it, and he does an excellent job as usual. Now this will deal with some abuse of d***s and going through withdrawal, so I will put a trigger warning here for it!! Well, I hope you all enjoy reading, and once again, TW: mentions of abuse of drugs and withdrawal, and mentions of the symptoms!!

There were so many thoughts going through Sam's mind. His dad wanted him to spend his summer building a house with him, and he didn't know why his dad wanted him around so suddenly. His dad's conditions had been that he take out his piercings and stop using them; he was not very happy about that at all. Honoring his dad's words, he stopped using and took his piercings out as well.

It was day two, and getting harder to hide him, starting to go through withdrawals with his mom coming over and his dad bugging him 24/7. The first day, he was anxious and just irritated for no reason. Now he was on day two, and all he wanted to do was sleep, but he couldn't even do that with the ongoing noise.

"Sam! C'mon, come help and get outta bed! You can't sleep all day." His dad yelled through the open door, "Go away, just please go away." Sam whispered, begging for some quiet and not the constant hammering and sawing his dad was doing.  Knowing that rolling over was not an option, Sam got up and started to try to get through the rest of the day. Seeing the muscle aches when he moved made him want to crawl back in bed and suffer alone. " Sam!! " his dad yells again snapping him out of his thoughts as he stared at his shaking hands, walking outside was no better. he hadn't even been in the sun for more than five seconds before he felt sweat on his forhead and his back making his shirt stick to him, " you know you don't have to get up so early and make a bunch of noise you know?!" sam snapped looking at the roof his dad was curently taking apart.

"Sam, it's noon, your mom is gonna be here with lunch soon." His dad trailed off, getting off the ladder and getting a good look at his son. Sam immediately pushed past him and sat on the swing as his mom and two younger brothers pulled into their driveway. " I have lunch, boys!!" Robin, his mom, yelled as his dad gave her a glance and a head nod towards Sam, " I made your favorite, Sam ." She said in a sweet tone as they laid the food out. "Not hungry, I'm going to go lie down for a while," Sam mumbled as he returned to the garage.  " But Sam, you just got up not that long ago!" his dad yelled over his shoulder at his son, noticing the beads of sweat gathering on his forehead. Once he was inside, Sam ran over to the sink and threw what little he had tried to eat in the past couple of days before rinsing it out and going and lying down in his dad's bed, not caring if he got an earful when he woke up.

That's how his dad found him hours later as the sun set; if he wasn't concerned, then he was now. Sam was covered in sweat, was shaking, and was tossing and turning. Running over, Gorge immediately started checking Sam over. " Sam! Sam, wake up! It's okay, it's okay, you're okay! What's wrong?" His dad said, trying to restrain him. Snapping out of his fever haze and still being confused a bit, he opened his mouth, but what his dad wasn't expecting was Sam throwing up on his bed, "I haven't used in two days, I'm trying you have to believe me." Sam hoarsely responded, collapsing back on the bed. "Okay, we're going to your mom's house, she has all the supplies we need there. I'm going to help you walk to the truck, okay, Sam?" Gorge asked while he wrapped Sam's arm around his shoulders.

Putting Sam into the truck, George raced to Robin's house ( breaking a few laws along the way). "Hang in there, buddy, we're going to mom's house," he soothed, rubbing his hand through Sam's sweat-soaked hair, feeling the heat pouring off of him. He'd put Sam in the passenger seat and the best thing he could find for Sam to puke into if he had to in the car was an old plastic tubeware" m dizzy, and everything hurts." Sam whispered, not being able to control his emotions, and broke down crying. He'd never been an emotional kind of teen, and it scared his dad if he was being honest. Rushing to the door, Georgee started pounding and calling Robbin's name, hoping she would wake up!

And in fact, she rushed down the stairs to be met with a panicked gorilla who had her son dangling off his shoulder. " Robin, can you open the door, please?! It's Sam, he's sick from withdrawal, please help me get him up to his room!" He was pleased as Sam promptly projectile vomited on the doorstop and crashed to the ground. " Sam, honey, we're going to take you to your room and get you comfortable, okay?" She asked softly, making sure not to startle him. What's wrong with Sam?" His younger brother asked innocently, "Nothing, he's just a bit sick, okay? Why don't you go back to bed?" Robin suggested.

Once they him all settled, George and Robin started looking at George for answers, This is all my fault, I was the one who told him to stop using if he was coming to stay with me. How did I not notice? The signs were there, Robin!" he yelled as she put her head in her hands. "it's not your fault, you couldn't have known anything, George," she explained calmly, putting her hand on his shoulder.

The next few days were a blur, and to be honest, Sam didn't remember any of it. Finally, his fever broke, and he felt a little more human, but he still didn't wanna move because moving meant questions, and he wasn't up for it yet. Per usual the universe went against his wishes when he heard a knock and both is mom and dad walked in " Sam, we need to talk about what happened. You were going through withdrawal so bad we almost had to take you to the ER." His mom explained while sitting gently on his bed, " I wanted to get clean not just for dad but for my own sake as well, guess that didn't go as planed at all I'm sorry." Sam apologized looking down feeling tears starting to form.

Embracing her son, robing gave him the BIGGEST hug as he let all his emotions out. A few weeks pass and Sam was finally clean!! Back at his dad's house he pulled gorge aside as the rest of construction went on around them " I wanna help, I'm more clear minded and I wanna help." Sam explained feeling simi bad , " alright there's a pair of gloves right over there, and start wherever you want." Gorge explained trying not to get to excited but pulling Sam into a hug which Sam retuned pulling away smiling, it was the first true smile gorge had gotten out of Sam so he considered that a win!
