Song she sings is Sinners by Lauren Aquilina. A very lovely song by a beautiful voice in my opinion :')

A few weeks later....

Today was a day that we were supposed to go on a mission outside of the walls. I woke in the early morning and was up before everyone else. Walking into the empty dining hall, I sat in my normal place in silence. Last night a dream occurred that I wasn't expecting. A..... mature.... dream. Involving both Levi and myself. I had woken with a start, cheeks flushed and heart pounding. Using this alone time I calmed myself down by singing.

"Our lives are stories, waiting to be told
In search of silver linings, we discovered gold
And judgement taught us that our hearts were wrong
But they're the ones that we'll look down upon

The rules say our emotions don't comply
But we'll defy the rules until we die

So let's be sinners to be saints
And let's be winners by mistake
The world may disapprove
But my world is only you
And if we're sinners then it feels like heaven to me

You showed me feelings I've never felt before
We're making enemies, knocking on the devil's door
But how can you expect me not to eat,
When the forbidden fruit tastes so sweet?

So let's be sinners to be saints
And let's be winners by mistake
The world may disapprove
But my world is only you
And if we're sinners then it feels like heaven to me

Our hearts are too ruthless to break
Let's start fires for heavens sake
Our hearts are too ruthless to break
Let's start fires for heavens sake
Our hearts are too ruthless to break
Let's start fires for heavens sake
Our hearts are too ruthless to break

So let's be sinners to be saints
And let's be winners by mistake
The world may disapprove
But my world is only you
And if we're sinners then
It feels like heaven
To me
And if we're sinners then it feels like heaven to me."

Singing, to me, was relaxing and had been something that I enjoyed doing, besides taking down those ugly titans of course. My voice echoed round the hall as I sang making my voice seem more powerful and louder. Once the song had finished, I didn't realise that somebody had been listening until the doors opened to reveal both Levi and Petra standing there. Levi looked emotionless as always, while Petra's face showed fascination and awe.
"Hanji told me you could sing but wow, I didn't know you could sing like that Rin!" Petra's amazed voice called out as she made her way over. I smiled warmly back at her in response and rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment. A habit I seemed to have picked up at some point. "What are you doing up so early anyway?" She questioned as she sat down beside me.
"I couldn't sleep. Weird dream." I chuckled nervously. She looked at me questioningly but said nothing else.
"Well, doesn't matter now. As long as you got enough sleep I'll let you off." She shrugged, her mothering tone coming out causing me to laugh. She would make an excellent mother one day. "We have the mission to worry about at the moment."
"Which is why this needless talk should stop. If you get tired it's your own fault." Levi spoke up harshly from nearby. He was sat a bit further up the table, probably trying to stay away from me.
"Well if I'm in trouble because of my tiredness, feel free to leave me be." I huffed, rolling my eyes. He looked surprised at my attitude first thing in the morning, but quickly hid his surprise with a glare.
"Fine." He shrugged in a bored tone. I felt a familiar clench come from my heart as it hurt with his behaviour towards me, but I ignored it. Through these few weeks I had toughened myself up so his insults and attitude would hurt less. I had had enough of looking weak in front of him. Petra looked back and forth between us worriedly but said nothing. I wasn't sure how long the three of us sat there before everyone began filing into the hall, ready for breakfast before leaving.
