Summary: The group shares a snippet of their past lives.

When we land this time, I realize I’m outside in the pouring rain with nothing but a black, floor length, mermaid style dress with a low chest line. I could feel I was wearing heels and my hair was done up, too.

I look to my left and Ragatha is in a slightly shorter but just as provocative black dress dress as well, and Kinger to her other side, a brown-ish coat replacing his usual royal purple robes.

Kinger leads us inside to a lit up building, the only lit up building on the desolate street, and I realize it's all in black and white- like some kind of old movie.

When we reach the inside I also see it's a bar, with Zooble behind the counter, and everyone in their seats along the bartop.

“Hey, guys!” Ragatha smiles as she walks in, making sure to take a seat on the opposite side of the counter as Jax, who was sitting a seat away from Pomni with Kinger on his other side.

I take the open seat between Pomni and Jax, of course.

“Hey, s&*y. What’s a cute little thing like you doing in a place like this all by yourself?” Jax says, smirking, obviously messing with me.

I couldn’t help but let out a giggle. “Quiet, you. I think we both know who the s*&ier one here is, cottontail,” I flirt and he goes red when I lightly tug on his loose tie.

Jax, Pomni, Gangle  and Zooble all sported loosely worn suits.

I can’t help but think he looks even more attractive in the semi-formal attire.

“Watch it, shortcake. You won’t be able to finish what you’ve started-”

“Get a room, please,” Zooble groans before turning to me specifically. “What do you want to drink?”

“I’ll take a Negroni, thanks,” and Zooble nods at my taste.

“I’ll take a…cosmopolitan,” Ragatha requests, earning a nod from bartender Zooble.

“Gimme a corncob blitz,” Kinger says, Zooble giving him a weird look in response.

“I’ll…see what I can do.”

“You know your way around alcohol, huh?” Pomni asks them curiously.

Zooble nods, sliding me my mixed drink. “Yeah. This was one of my suggestions. I worked at a bar for a little while- I like making drinks.”

Jax scoffs and rolls his eyes. “That sounds fitting for you,” he says with a smirk.

Zoble pauses, seemingly thinking. “I know there’s an implication there, but I can’t be f*&%$d to figure it out,” they say, before making Ragatha’s drink.

“Well then what about you, Sugarcube? You have any exciting jobs you wanna tell us about? Or are you too young for that?” he says, his arm going around my shoulders.

“First of all, if I were too young for a job, that’d make you a creep. And second, I’m 21 and worked at an art museum,” I said, poking his side, causing him to let go.

“Boring! You’re barely even old enough to drink!”

Zooble sighs before turning to me. “Don’t listen to him. I think that sounds interesting. Were you some kind of historian when it came to that stuff or what?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know…I mean I had a few pieces of my own in the museum…So I guess I might’ve been. But I also helped around my family’s bakery in my free time, though.”
