Chapter Nine.

Finally the school day was over. I quickly grabbed my bag ignoring the curious glances. Seeing Dylan had saddened my day, although a part of me wanted me to know why he dumped me? I sighed as I spotted Sabrina hanging around in the front of the school, twirling back and forth on her heels, looking like an awkward peering person. Seeing her made me smile. I walked to her slowly but only got half way because of a figure that stood in my way. I looked up the see Dylan, I gasped jumping back quickly.

“Danielle.” He said so softly I felt my insides melt. His voice was so dreamy. I snapped my face looking him straight in the eyes.

“What is it?” I demanded. I sighed as I saw Sabrina looking around hazily for me, she probably couldn’t see me behind Dylan. I stepped to the side slightly but Dylan followed blocking Sabrina’s view to me, again.

I groaned as I met his eyes again, they were pleading with sadness.

“I’m so sorry, please let me make it up to you and take you out to dinner.” He said raising an eye brow and grinning like a idiot.

“Sorry but I’m busy.” I lied as my voice croaked slightly. I looked away trying to hide my face, it just made it worse.

“Common let me make it up to you, I promise it be proper fancy and nice.” He grinned, I grinned back getting lost in his amazing eyes. He saw my reaction, and smiled even wider, if that’s possible.

“Great! Wednesday night, pick you up at 7pm.” He smirked as he walked off in success, I cursed under my breath his good looks won me over once again.

“Sabrina.” I finally shouted, she was still looking for me. I rolled my eyes and repeated myself. She snapped her head towards me with a fierce smile. She stomped over to me eyes narrowed. I was going to get a lift with her, but I’m not hanging out with her whilst she’s this angry. I flinched back, and began to turn around whilst shouting,

“Bye Sabrina, catching a lift with Ryan!” I dashed away leaving Sabrina more furious. I laughed at myself and saw Ryan about to pull out the drive way with Sarah. I didn’t want to go with Ryan after I confessed my secret to him, but it was better than going with steaming-ears-Sabrina.

“Ryan!” I exclaimed running towards his car, my breaths rushed and my chest heaving up and down. Ryan’s eyes popped up to meet mine and he grinned, immediately stopping the car. Sarah growled as she sat in the front seat checking her makeup and applying more lip gloss to her thin lips. I dashed to the car and slid into the back seat and clicked my seat belt into the socket. Ryan turned on the ignition and pulled out the car park.

“I thought you were going with Sabrina.” Ryan asked after two minutes of awkward silence, and two minutes of Sarah glaring at me. I felt so uncomfortable.

“Sabrina was waiting for me for at least eight minutes for me, and she got all voodoo crazy on me. So I did what any girl would in that situation with Sabrina. I ran.” I giggled slouching back in my seat. He chuckled back however, Sarah face was emotionless.

“Yeah Sabrina can be freaking scary some times.” Ryan chuckled but I felt him shiver slightly. I exhaled a laugh under my breath as I got caught up in Ryan’s body. Wow he was damn attractive, Sarah has good taste I’ll admit that. I’m pretty sure Sarah caught me gazing because she slipped he arm around Ryan’s abs and leaned over to him. He twitched slightly but she ignored, she whispered something in his ear and pulled a alluring smile. She purred as she sucked his ear lobe holding tightly to him. I pulled my gaze to the window trying to wipe that unpleasant image out of my memories. Nope she had just scarred me for life.

“Sarah stop it, I’m trying to drive.” Ryan grunted, those words made a huge smug smile grow on my face. Sarah pulled that innocent face and sniffled slightly. Please don’t tell me he is falling for this?

“Sorry babe, It’s just so hard to concentrate on the road, when your turning me on.” He whispered to her, but I could hear. Yep he’s falling for that bullshit of an innocent act. She smiled softly at him then her face snapped to mine, as she narrowed her eyes and stuck her tongue at me. I scoffed a laugh, she really is embarrassing herself.

“What’s so funny?” Ryan asked smiling at the road.

“Your girlfriend is attempting to make me jealous.” I giggled and blew Sarah a taunting kiss with my smug smile that was still plastered on my face.

“Babe, me and Elle are just best mates, don’t make her uncomfortable please.” He said softly with a exhaled laugh. I liked tensing Sarah it was so hilarious.

“What! Best mates? How can you be best friends with that geek!” she hissed glaring at me. Those words didn’t sting, I’d been called geek or nerd most of my life. I scoffed another laugh, Time for Ryan to see the beast within Sarah.

“Sarah, don’t call my Elle a geek!” Ryan hissed as he glared at Sarah, what a flipping intense moment, I felt the sudden longing for popcorn.

Sarah’s eyes narrowed at me, but then soften as he gazed back at Ryan.

“I’m so sorry baby, I didn’t mean it!” she begged hanging off his shoulder. Ryan sighed relief, I groaned rolling my eyes, seriously?

Ryan pulled up to the sidewalk, and I turned my head out the window to see Sarah’s house. Tall and weight painted with white and skin coloured paint. It was  like a sumo wrestler has turned into a house. H-U-G-E. My jaw dropped, she was rich!?

“Baby don’t forget to go on your laptop tonight, I have a little webcam surprise for you.” She purred as she leaned over with a smirk and starting making out with my best friend. What a lucky guy? I thought sarcastically. I coughed loudly, but they carried on kissing, Ryan looked like a great kisser, but Sarah was sucking his face off, more like eating him actually. I flinched backwards in disgust and grunted as I felt a pinch of jealous strike through my gut. I felt disgusted with Ryan and myself, so I quickly gazed out the window ignoring Ryan’s and Sarah quick goodbye kiss?

“Bye baby!” she cooed stepping out of the car, I stepped out the car too and began to walk down the sidewalk causally, remembering something very important. I heard the slam of the pearly white door and I heard a yell.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Ryan asked grabbing my attention. I blinked and turned my face around my shoulder, and smirked.

“I got to do something Important.” I shouted back turning my back to face his car.

“Let me take you.” He suggested raising an eye brow. I grimaced,

“I’m good, wouldn’t want to keep you from you and your slutty girlfriend, from your webcam date?” I asked turning around and walking down the sidewalk, only to heard the fading roar of the car as it zoomed past me.
