The battlefield trembled like a living beast, caught between life and destruction. Ash stood unmoving at its heart—his team assembled, his gaze unwavering. Around him, the elements clashed. Flames spiraled into the sky, lightning cracked through ash clouds, water surged in ribbons across broken earth, and pure aura shimmered like a shield against the shadows.
Above, Xerneas and Yveltal circled each other like titans in an ancient dance—one radiant with life, the other steeped in oblivion.
Yveltal screamed again—its voice a banshee's wail of hatred and ruin. Darkness poured from its wings like liquid night, and where it touched, plants withered, stone cracked, and the very color of the world bled away. From below, the corrupted Zygarde fragments hissed in sync, forming patterns—mechanical, inhuman, relentless.
But Xerneas—oh, Xerneas was the answer.
With each graceful step, it undid destruction. Vines regrew in its wake, light danced across scorched terrain, and the taint of death retreated. But its antlers flickered—not with weakness, but with restraint. It did not wish to fight. It mourned the balance being shattered.
Ash narrowed his eyes. "This is what they've done... they turned life and death into weapons."
Greninja moved like a shadow beside him, Lucario's aura pulsed with quiet intensity, and Pikachu sparked with determination.
"Let's take back Kalos," Ash whispered. And then—he moved.
The Clash Begins
Charizard rocketed upward, trailing blue flame like a comet of vengeance. He collided with Yveltal mid-air—fang to beak, claw to wing. The shockwave that followed sent clouds reeling and lightning flashing for miles.
Yveltal shrieked, flinging Charizard away with a blast of dark pulse, but Ash didn't flinch.
"Spin into it and Fire Blast!"
Charizard twisted midair and unleashed a five-pronged burst of flame that struck like a burning star, forcing Yveltal to dodge.
On the ground, Greninja dashed forward, slicing through Zygarde fragments. Water Shurikens flew in rapid succession, cutting through corrupted cells. Lucario followed, launching an Aura Sphere that shattered a towering fragment with a pulse of radiant light.
"Keep pushing! Don't let them regroup!" Ash commanded.
Sceptile leapt into the fray, tail glowing as he spun through enemies, clearing paths with Leaf Blade and Dual Chop. His leaves shimmered with battle-born fury.
And Pikachu? Pikachu was everywhere. Darting from rubble to shadow, Iron Tailing corrupted cores and zapping through grunts trying to flank their allies. His speed blurred the line between flash and form.
Ash's team fought like extensions of his will—each movement planned, each attack fueled by the kind of unbreakable bond that turned legends into reality.
Meanwhile, the Legends Roared
Yveltal dove, trying to crush the battlefield in its wings. Charizard rose to meet it. Their attacks collided midair—Oblivion Wing against Dragon Claw—again and again, each impact shaking the land.
From a distant cliff, Serena and the others watched, stunned.
"He's... keeping up with Yveltal?" Aria gasped.
"That's not just power," Shauna whispered. "That's mastery."
But the sky wasn't done.
Xerneas stepped fully into the storm. It opened its eyes wide and fired a beam of pure, prismatic energy—Geomancy Unleashed.
