The wind sent mild chills down the young blonde's spine. She looked up at her best friend and hugged her.
"You okay?" Her friend asked as they walked to their place on the playground.
"Yeah. Just cold."
Her friend was concerned."Here. Take this." She took it off and held it out.
"Kc. Keep your jacket."
"Shay. Take the jacket."
"It's yours."
"You could get sick and die."
Kc's arm was still extended with the jacket in her hand.
Shay took it and put it on."I'm doing this unwillingly."
"Shut up and be warm."
"Hey kc. I saw your sister's car. It's nice." A boy peeked up.
"Yeah. My dad and I fixed her up last summer. She's a '67 Porsche 911."
Shay watched her best friend go on and on about the car. Then her eyes were on the boy."That's so cool. I'll ask my dad if he's interested. Bye kc. Bye shailene."
He ran off to play with his friends."Oh my god." Shay said and covered her mouth.
"What?"
"You like Pete!"
"Uh..."
Kc thought about it.
"He's cute I guess.." she shrugged."Is kc blushing?" Shay asked teasingly.
"It's cold. I have no face protection. It's heating up so it doesn't freeze."
"Whatever." She laughed.
After the school day had ended kc sat in her room thinking.
/what's wrong with me? I like guys.. don't I? I'm normal. Right?/
"Hey biggie."
"Hi Smalls."
"What's up?"
"Huh?"
"You were quiet during the car ride. You're quiet now. What's wrong?"
"I'm not normal Smalls."
"We're all abnormal. It's what makes us human. But what're you talking about?"
"I'm supposed to like guys right?"
"No."
"No?"
"biggie. Let me introduce you to the world of gay."
Kc was confused.
"I'm gay. I like girls. Chandler's gay. And you're gay.""I'm... gay?"
"Yes. Now let's go eat."
"Oh... okay."
The sisters walked into the dining room."Mom.. Dad. I'm gay? I think." Kc said and ate.
"Okay." Her mom said.
"Cool." Came from her Dad."That's it? I just told you I'm gay. I'm 10!"
"Kc. Who you love doesn't matter unless you're being hurt." Her Dad said.
"Liz is gay too."
"We've known that since she was two."
"So. Gay is normal?"
"As normal as straight is. Pass the potatoes." Her mom said.
/I'm gay! Yay? Yeah. Yay gay!/
/tadaaaaaaaa. I think this is a better version of the first chapter. I kind like it more. Look. This book isn't gonna get entirely changed. I'll probably add more chapters for fillers n shit or change the chapters. Hopefully you like it. -Kaden
