Shay woke up to Kc's quiet snores.
She smiled at her.
Someone knocked on the door and Shay stood up and opened it.
A red headed boy stood there scratching the back of his neck.
"Kyle." Shay said.
"Hey beautiful." He said.
"That's nice of you. But that's not my name." Shay said.
"Come on Carrie." He said.
"And that was my point being proven." Shay said.
Kc stood up and wrapped her arms around Shay's waist. She kissed Shay's collar bone up to her cheek.
"Good morning gorgeous." Kc said.
"Morning baby." Shay said. Kyle looked at her.
"What? It's cute when she does it." She said with a shrug.
"What're you doing here Lorenzo?" Kc asked.
"It's Kyle." He said.
"I know what came outta my mouth." Kc said making Shay smile.
"Seriously. What are you doing here?" Shay asked.
"Well I was told by a mutual friend that you had a crush on me." He said.
"I used to. When we were like in fifth grade. That information is pretty invalid. Thanks for stopping by." Shay said and closed the door. Not even half a second later Kyle knocked on the door again.
Shay opened it. "What?"
Kyle held out a teddy bear.
"What's this for?"
"Just a little get well soon gift." He said.
"Thanks." She said. He started to lean in to kiss her but she closed the door in his face again making him smash his lips against the wooden door.
Kc laughed. "That was gold."
Shay smiled at her.
"What're you gonna do with that bear?"
"Probably gonna sell it or take it back to the dumpster he found it from." Shay said.
"You know. You can be extremely high maintenance?"
"Yeah I know. It's why you love me." Shay said.
Kc smiled at her.
"Why you looking at me like that?"
"Because I want your lips on mine right now." Kc said. Shay walked over to her. She wrapped her arms around Kc's neck and got on her toes. Kc's hands rested on Shay's hips.
Shay kissed her.
"Guess what?" Shay said.
"What?"
"I love you."
"I love you more." Kc said.
Someone else knocked on the door.
"Ill get it." Kc said and walked over to the door.
Mari stood there with a red face when she saw Kc.
"Oh. Hey boss lady." Kc said with a smile.
"Hi." Mari said with a faint blush on her cheeks. "I-I brought you your uh. Your." Mari mentally face palmed. "Your work."
"You okay boss?" Kc asked her.
"Mhm." Mari said.
"Oh hi boss!" Shay said.
"Hey." Mari said.
"You should chill with us." Shay said.
"Yeah man. It'll be fun." Kc said.
"Oh. I don-"
"Come on boss!" Kc and Shay said at the same time.
"Join us." Shay said and grabbed Mari's hand.
"Join us." Kc said grabbing her other hand. The two pulled Mari into the hospital room and shut the door.
"Oh. What's this?" Mari asked as she picked up the bear.
