YOUR POV

After Ashton had stormed out of the staff room I hadn't seen him for at least an hour.

Then once he did come back, he couldn't even look at me.

He'd sat  with his head down concentrating awfully hard on his work.

By the end of the day I hadn't spoke to him once since the incident.

And he also hadn't walked home with me.

As soon as 5:00 had hit, he'd darted out of the office without a second glance.

--

Once I got back to my apartment the first thing I did was take a shower.

I didn't want to remember the events of today.

I had only been there a week and there had already been so many events.

I didn't even want to think how everything would have changed in the next three weeks.

I hopped into the shower and let the water drown my sorrows.

I let the water wash away all the memories and watched them circle the drain.

From now on I was avoiding Michael at all costs.

I couldn't allow him to get yelled at again or possibly fired.

But as I thought of my black haired friend, I wondered what Ashton had meant when he called him a liar.

Had Michael really lied to me?

Was everything he said about Calum not true?

I shook my head ridding myself of the thoughts and tried to forget it all, at least for one night.

CALUMS POV

* The next day *

Sitting in my office I wondered if she would ever speak to me again.

My hands clasped tightly together on the desk, all my thoughts were about here.

My phone rang on my desk for the fifth time and I sighed as I finally answered it.

"Hello?" I drawled into the receiver.

"Mr Hood, good morning. This is Mr Rivers speaking. I am calling to confirm our meeting at 2:00 today? Do you have the report ready?" Mr Rivers chirped.

I rubbed my head with my hand and closed my eyes briefly.

I had not got round to doing the report, which was a first for me.

I was usually so organised and had my reports done days before a meeting.

"I have not got the report done Mr Rivers. Would it be possible to reschedule?" I sighed.

"Mr Hood I find it odd that you have not met the standards we usually expect of you. I cannot reschedule unfortunately, so we will have to have the meeting today and go through the report together. Would that work best for you?" he grumbled.

"Yes thank you. I will be back to my expected standards in time for our next meeting. I apologise for having a messed up head and a group of incompetent employees," I spat.

"I will see you at 2:00 Mr Hood. Have the report ready to go through and be on time," he snapped.

He hung up the phone and I growled, slamming mine down.

I had not had the chance to even glance at the report.

My mind had been solely focused on her and how she was.

Now that she was avoiding me and would not speak to me, I worried even more about her.

But luckily I had some people who could keep me updated.

Speaking of, I was expecting one of my spies in just a minute.

And as if on cue, he opened the door and stepped inside.

"What have you found out?" I asked immediately as he took a seat.

"Don't worry. She's fine. She hasn't spoken to or seen him outside of work in over 4 days," he assured me.

"Have you seen him lurking round her building again since the last time?" I asked.

I held my breath waiting for the dreaded answer.

He sighed as he nodded.

"Just last night sir. He was seen entering her building at exactly 11pm. I followed him inside and as he made his way to the elevators I stopped him," he informed me.

He crossed his leg over the other and sat back.

"And what did you say to him?" I asked.

He grinned mischievously.

"I told him to get it dirty fucking self out of the building. I told him I wasn't afraid to take matters into my own hands if I caught him there again. He just laughed when he realised you had sent me. He said you couldn't stop him forever and plus he knew she wouldn't ignore him forever. He said, you on the other hand, she would never forgive," he told me.

Never forgive?

Those were the only words that I heard.

"What did he say to her?" I muttered.

He sighed and sat forward in his chair.

"I'm not too sure Calum, he didn't say," he told me. "But listen, she will forgive you. Whatever it was he said, she will learn that it is not true."

I wanted to believe him, I really did.

But until I saw it with my own eyes I could not believe him.

"Thank you anyway. I owe you a lot for everything you do for me Luke," I said.

He smiled and reached his hand out to shake mine.

"It's my pleasure Calum. We're friends remember, that's what friends are for," he noticed.

He stood up, running a hand through his blonde hair.

"You need anything else, you know where I am," he reminded me.

"Good day Mr Hood," he called as he left.

"Thank you Mr Hemmings," I called back.

He left the room, shutting the door and once again I was left to my own thoughts.

And all of them involved her.

I pulled out the report I had yet to read and make note on, and began to read.

Not even three lines down and a few words of notes, I gave up.

I slammed down the pen, cursing aloud and stood up.

Grabbing my gym bag, I stormed out of the room in search of the gym.

That was the only place I wanted to be right now.

Far away from it all.

Alone.
