YOUR POV
As the minutes ticked by getting closer to lunch time, my smile grew.
After speaking to Michael and telling him everything, he reassured me he didn't care about what anyone thought.
And he promised me he would always be there for me no matter what.
He told me that him and Calum had never really seen eye to eye, but that he didn't expect me to worry about that.
The seconds ticked by agonisingly slowly.
Ashton had already left for lunch with Clark.
He hadn't spoken to me the whole morning and didn't even say goodbye when he left.
It did hurt that he was now shutting me out.
I sighed as I pushed back from my desk and stood up.
I'd told Michael I would meet him outside of the office, because everyone in here wasn't keen on him.
I'd been warned more times today to stay away from him but I'd ignored their demands.
I stepped away from my cubicle and headed straight for the elevators.
I pressed the button and the elevator doors closed as it began moving down.
My lips pulled up in a full smile as I thought of who was waiting at the bottom.
And sure enough, the doors opened to reveal Michael slouching against the wall.
He grinned as he saw me and pushed himself up.
"You ready?" he asked.
"Yep," I replied, popping the P.
He held out his arm for me to take and I giggled as I linked arms with him.
We strolled out of the office and headed straight for the nearest cafe.

CALUMS POV
Ashton had been in to tell me that Daisy was still planning on going to lunch with Michael.
I did not want him anywhere near her.
I knew he planned to spill everything about me to her and I could not have him doing that.
I did not want her hating me.
It would kill me if she hated me.
My hand clutched at my chest as I felt my own heart breaking ever so slightly.
Before her, I did not even know I had a heart to break.
It felt empty before, devoid of any feelings or emotions.
But she had broken down my wall, cracked my shell.
Crying over Michael's words had been a first.
I had never cried but she had brought that out in me.
I stepped up to the window that gave me a full view of the outside of the building.
My hands behind my back, clasped tightly together I watched for her.
I noticed the doorman opening the door and my eyes focused on the next person coming out.
They came out, arms linked together, grinning faces, looking content in each other's company.
"Fuck!" I cursed aloud.
I thumped my fist on the window, not once but twice.
I cursed aloud again, turning away from the window and slammed my palm on the desk.
Why was he doing this to me?
He had tried this before, multiple times, but I had not cared about the girls.
I did not want a relationship.
I did not want to have to share everything with another person.
I had a hard time trusting people and I did not like to share my emotions.
I picked up the bag beside my desk and stomped out of the room.
I headed straight for the gym, not looking back.

MICHAELS POV
She was literally eating out of the palm of my hand.
She was believing all my words, all my lies.
This was going to mess with Calum's head and I couldn't wait to see how he reacted.
I'd heard the bang when we'd exited the building and glanced up to see him at the window.
He hadn't caught me looking before be stalked off but I'd seen him.
And I knew he was pissed.
He would now be in the gym, trying to control his anger so he didn't snap.
Oh, I couldn't wait to get back and speak to him.
"Michael?" her sweet voice called.
"Yeah?" I asked, focusing back on her.
"I asked if you were ready to leave," she giggled, chucking her empty straw wrapper at me.
I threw it back and grinned.
"Yeah sure. Let's head back," I agreed.
I stood up, putting a wad of cash on the table and reached for her hand.
When she looked at the money, clearly bewildered, I waved it off.
"My treat. It's the least I can do after I forced Ashton to stop speaking to you," I told her.
"You didn't. Stop saying that," she huffed as she stood from her chair.
She took my arm and I lead her out of the cafe.
"He choose himself to be awkward. I don't understand why I can't be friends with both of you," she sighed.
I squeezed her hand in my arm and smiled sympathetically.
"You can. I want that. He just doesn't like me," I pouted.
She rubbed at my arm and shook her head.
"Well he's missing out because I think you're awesome. If anything, Calum is the asshole not you," she decided.
"Yeah, he can be," I nodded.
"He is Michael. He had no right to yell at you like that yesterday. And the fact he wouldn't give you a promotion because he wanted your girlfriend and you wouldn't leave her is disgusting. But I thought he renounced women?" she said, looking slightly confused by my tale.
"He did after that. Before that he was as bad as me. He wanted every girl he could get, especially the ones who were already taken. The harder they were to get, the more determined he was to have them," I explained, with a sorrowful frown.
"Oh Michael," she cried, squeezing my hand in hers.
She stopped suddenly, just as we came outside the building and I turned to face her.
"I will never leave you. You're my only friend in this place," she promised.
I smiled at her and she pulled me into a hug.
Luckily I'd been positioned to stand facing the building.
I glanced up and sure enough he was there again, dressed in his gym gear.
I kept my eyes on his as I rubbed at her back, making her hug me tighter.
And I grinned up at his angered face.
Oh, he was going to kill me now.
And I would make sure she saw it.
She'd never go near him again.
