CALUMS POV

Sitting at my big mahogany desk in my makeshift office at home, I dialled Luke's number.

After Ashton's call I knew I needed to get Luke to check on her.

He answered on the first ring and I thanked my lucky stars that I had such a reliable friend.

"Hey Calum. You need me to check on her again?" he asked, immediately knowing why I was calling.

"Hey. Yeah I just need you to make sure she is aright. Ashton has called and told me she had a rather dodgy conversation with Michael this afternoon. I just want to make sure she is okay," I informed him.

He chuckled deeply and I knew he would agree with my crazy demands.

"Of course. I'll go right now. I'll drop you a text when I have checked on her," he promised.

"Thank you Luke. I know I can always trust you," I said.

"Don't mention it," he replied, brushing off my thanks.

I hung up and put the phone in my back pocket.

It was only 8:30 and he said he'd call her at 9:00.

As I stood to make my way to the bathroom, my phone buzzed with an incoming message.

I pulled it out quickly, my fingers fumbling and dropping the machine onto the desk.

"Fuck!" I cursed.

I picked it up and tried to calmly swipe the screen and read the message.

From: Mr Hemmings
I have sighting on her. She is leaving her apartment as we speak

Reading and rereading his message, I was already becoming angered.

I had some clue as to who she was going out with at this time.

From: Calum
Follow her. Do not let her get out of sight

He replied back immediately with the two simple words that put me at ease.

From: Mr Hemmings
Yes sir

And I replied back, thanking him once again for his loyalty.

From: Calum
Thank you Mr Hemmings. Keep me updated.

From: Mr Hemmings
Yes sir

I breathed a sigh of relief and finally made my way to the bathroom.

I hoped that she was with Ashton and not Michael.

He had mentioned they watched some show together so maybe they went to each other apartments to watch it.

At least that was what I hoped was happening.

I could not let my crazy mind wander to thoughts that might not even be happening.

I could not allow myself to worry too much.

I stepped into the bathroom and placed my phone on the shelf.

I stripped out of my suit and tie, dropping them to the floor.

I turned on the shower and stepped under the running water.

YOUR POV

After being in the pub for an hour, I finally checked my phone.

Michael had asked what I'd wanted when I'd finally got here and I'd decided on having what he had.

After my third beer, my head was feeling fuzzy.
