Chapter 22

YOUR POV

* The next day *

I showered and dressed ready for another day in the office.

I already had a planned speech ready for Mr Hood.

After sleeping on it I'd somehow became less angry.

I tried to think about it over and over and remind myself he'd made a dick move.

But no matter what I did I couldn't bring back the anger.

And that just frustrated me.

I was angry at myself for not being angry at him.

I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid I was being.

I strutted out of the bathroom, towel wrapped around my waist and went to my bedroom.

My phone was still on my bedside table and I checked it to see how long I had to get dressed.

It wasn't a surprise when I saw a text from Ashton.

I hadn't spoke to in over 24 hours and he was probably ripping his hair out with worry.

I was surprised he hadn't blew up my phone already with calls and texts.

But I just assumed Calum had filled him in.

I opened his message and felt my face pale at first before heating up in anger.

I warned you about Michael. He's been fired and I'm worried you're going to be next

I only really read the first few words and I felt my blood boil.

I knew I was the reason he had been fired.

I was the cause of it and I was fuming.

He didn't do anything to deserve to be fired.

Why did Mr Hood dislike him speaking to me that much?

It didn't make sense, none of it added up.

I growled as I stomped around my room getting ready in a rush.

I was fully prepared to go apeshit at him now and blow a fucking fuse.

How dare he do this!!

Who did he think he was!?

There was no way I was letting Michael go without putting up a fight.

And if he didn't listen, I'd quit and he could deal with that.

I wasn't fucking having this.

He what?! When did this happen?

I waited for his reply already guessing the answer.

He must have done it yesterday whilst I wasn't there.

What a coward!

He hadn't wanted me to stay home for my health or because he cared about me.

He wanted to fire Michael and he knew he couldn't do it with me there.

That would mean two against one and he would certainly not win.

Yesterday. Rumour has it a text was sent from Mr Hood to Michael telling him he was fired

A rumour?

So it hadn't been via text.

At least he wasn't that much of a coward that he hid behind his screen.
