CALUMS POV

I left the meeting with 15 minutes to spare before the end of her lunch.

I made sure the meeting did not run over time and was lucky enough to cut it down some.

I darted straight back to my office and shut the door.

I moved to the window and stood there, waiting.

She would be back soon and I could breathe again knowing she was safe under my roof.

--

As 1:05 hit, I was becoming edgy wondering why she was not back.

I scanned the crowds on the pavement below trying to pick out her brunette head.

I even looked for Ashton's curls but could not see them.

Just as I was about to step away and go out searching, I spotted Ashton.

I pressed myself against the window, and felt my heart stop beating.

I spotted Ashton but by his side was not Daisy.

Instead I saw Clark, and a few other of my employees.

But none were Daisy.

I looked behind him, hoping she was just trailing behind, but she was not.

I began pacing, waiting for him to come up.

I thought he would come and explain, letting me know she had just decided to stay and have lunch here.

I checked outside again and saw a sight I did not want to see.

Coming up the pavement was Michael and by his side Daisy.

She was looking at him, her smile bright and eyes shining.

I knew he had done this on purpose and had most definitely fed her a bunch of new lies.

I was fuming!

My blood physically boiled and my skin heated as the fire ignited.

My fists clenched and unclenched by my side, and before I knew it I was storming out of my office.

I raced up the stairs going to the staff room on his floor and waited.

I knew he had to pass by here to get to his cubicle and I was going to get him.

The elevator dinged and I peeked down the hallways to see him stepping out.

He was grinning as he strolled down the hallways, whistling as he went.

He did not know what was coming next.

As he neared the doorway, I reached my hand out and grabbed him dragging him inside.

I shut the door, still grasping his shirt in my hands and slammed his back against it.

"What did I fucking tell you?!?" I roared.

He laughed in my face.

He fucking dared to laugh!

I slammed his back into the door again and he winced.

"What did I tell you?" I growled again, slowly.

"You can't tell me not to speak to her Calum. And you can't tell her not to speak to me," he spat back.

"I can tell you whatever the fuck I want. I warned you Clifford, if you went near her again your ass would be fired," I seethed.

He pushed me back and un-crumpled his shirt.

"After what I just told her, she won't believe a word you say. If you utter a word about my little conversation with Ashton, she won't believe you and she'll just hate you Hood," he spat.

"Try it. Honestly go for it Calum. She won't believe you and you'll just lose her for good," he laughed harshly.

I did not think about my next move.

I just did, like I did with everything.

I swung back my arm and pushed it through the air, connecting with his jaw.

He stumbled back, wincing and spat the blood that seeped from his busted lip.

He launched at me with a roar and charged us both into the table.

It broke as we landed on it with a loud crack and we fell to the floor.

His fist moved over me as he punched and hit, but my arms shielded my face.

I kicked him off me and he fell on his ass.

I moved over to him and nudged him with my foot, rolling him over onto his stomach.

I stepped hard on his back until he cried out from the pain.

"Go near her again Clifford and you will no longer have a job here," I warned him.

I stepped harder on his back and he tried to wiggle away as he cursed.

I pulled back and kicked him hard in his side.

"Oh and I will also be informing every employer around that you're a lazy, lying, stealing, conniving worker. You won't get another job Clifford. You have been warned," I barked.

I kicked his side one last time and left the room, leaving him there curled up in the foetal position, clutching at his chest.

My back was in so much pain but I did not even care.

That pain was nothing compared to the pain I felt without her.

The fear that she would never speak to me again was eating me alive.

I wanted her to speak to me, forgive me and love me as much as I loved her.

I wanted only her happiness to shine, I wanted her love.

I wanted her.

YOUR POV

I worked away at my cubicle feeling Ashton's eyes on me but refusing to look up.

The hours ticked by and when it finally got to 3:00 I couldn't take it anymore.

"What is it Ash?" I sighed, rubbing my eyes tiredly.

"Why didn't you tell me you weren't coming to the cafe?" he scolded.

"Oh for gods sake Ash," I groaned. "You're not my dad. I don't need to tell you where I'm going every second."

Clark strolled past the cubicles and gasped at my words.

"He's daddy Daisy and don't you forget it," he tutted.

Ashton reached across and high-fived Clark, and Clark winked at me.

"Girls got the kink. Ashton's the man to go to," he said.

I shook my head ignoring their banter or whatever it was and focused my attention on Ashton.

"So I went to the pizza place only four doors down. I didn't go to another fucking country," I snapped.

"You could have just told me," he huffed, spinning around on his chair and getting back to work.

I rolled my eyes and copied suit, getting down to work.

Ugh, today couldn't be over fast enough!
