CALUMS POV

I stalked down the hallways, my breathing ragged but heavy.

She was wrapping me so fucking tightly around her perfect little finger.

And that asshole was purposely trying to piss me off.

I made a beeline for my office, ignoring the constant calls from my employees.

I could not speak to any of them in this state, because I knew what would happen.

I would snap and yell at one of them and make them cry again.

I could not do that.

Not again.

I could not deal with a crying employee.

I could not have that guilt on my plate again.

It was too much last time.

As I neared my office, I saw the one person I did not want to see leaning against my office door.

The smug smile on his lips was pissing me off and I wanted so badly to knock it off his face.

With my fist.

"Leave!" I ordered, pushing past him.

I slammed the door shut but he caught it with his foot and stepped inside.

"You really think yelling at me in front of her is going to get her to like you?" he said.

"Get out," I said through tight lips.

I moved to the bay window, staring out at the city before me.

My hands deep in my pockets were balled into fists.

I could not allow him to get to me.

"You know Calum, I didn't really like her when she first arrived. I mean don't get me wrong, she's hot. But she's not my type," he said.

"But knowing you didn't want me near her, well it made me want to go near her. And seeing the way she riles you up is rather entertaining," he sniggered.

I turned around to face him and he was grinning like a fucking idiot.

He grabbed a blank notepad off my desk and flicked through the pages nonchalantly.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to sleep with her. Just dangle her in front of you and show you she won't want you. Did you really think she'd want someone with daddy issues and anger problems?" he challenged.

My jaw clenched and my fists tightened till my knuckles were white.

"Oh she doesn't know does she," he acknowledged, pulling his lips to the side.

"I've seen you get so mad that you yelled at an employee and made them cry. A female employee might I add. You looked close to hitting her. Would you do that to Daisy?" he gasped, feigning fear.

He was pushing me so close to the edge.

My fists were balled up so tightly they hurt.

"She doesn't want a crazy person. Just remember that," he fretted.

He tossed the notepad on the desk, and it slid to the edge.

"She doesn't want you Hood. Forget it," he recalled.

He smirked as he sauntered out of the room and slammed the door behind him.

I let out a growl as I grabbed the notepad and threw it at the door.

His sniggering on the other side pushed me further.

I roared as I grabbed the chair and threw it across the room, with a crash.

I pulled on my hair as I checked the damage I had caused and fell to my knees.

The angry tears fell from my eyes and I quietly sobbed.

YOUR POV

As the day dragged on I couldn't stop my mind from wandering back to the previous events.

Why had that happened?

And why had they stared at each other like they wanted to kill one another?

I couldn't understand why that had happened.

Calum, I mean Mr Hood, had literally just came in the room and demanded he left.

Why did he do that?

During the rest of the afternoon I'd been itching to go down to his office and ask him.

But the look on his face earlier had terrified me.

He didn't seem like the type to open up and throw out his feelings.

He looked like the type to box them up and lock them away.

His demeanour had not only scared me but had also surprised me.

This was only my second encounter with my new boss and I'd already seen a change in his attitude.

My own encounter with him, he'd seemed calm and collected.

But after today I began to wonder if he had a dark side.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" Ashton chuckled beside me.

I blinked a couple of times, as he snapped be back into reality.

"Nothing," I lied.

His eyebrows raised as if he didn't believe me.

Of course he didn't.

I sighed and said the first thing that came to my head.

"I'm thinking about what I'll do when I get home tonight. Unpack or sleep," I lied, smiling.

Ashton grinned, and I was glad he'd believed me.

"How about I come round and help unpack? Four hands are better than two right," he offered.

He held up his hands and wiggled his fingers and I couldn't help laughing.

"Alright, sounds like a plan," I accepted.

I was just glad I could focus my thoughts on something other than the intoxicating man.

He was my boss and I knew the thoughts I had about him were inappropriate.

I tapped away at my computer, putting those thoughts at the back of my mind whilst I worked.

5pm couldn't come sooner.
